Lots of the advice here is really good to keep in mind in this business. I'm in North Wales , and the culture here is different to that in other areas, and as a transgendered escort the profile of client differs too. I've let myself
get wound up by troughs in bookings and keep forgetting that this isn't an inner city. I'm not super escort but I think its about making yourself as irresistible as possible, see yourself as the product top be sold...if you were the client would you book you, or is there something that makes them hesitate?  Offer a service that's different, get the sexiest pictures taken of you, learn lots of new techniques, think outside the box, so in the end the poor dears will be tripping over each other to see you and you'll be choosing who to see.

It is still slow for anyone? I have been barely getting anything but massage, and I've already had 1 of my escort client's cancel and now another one seems to be a noshow also...

Yes, very slow :( I'm so bored....The worst thing is that in times like this I tend to think that no one will ever book me again and I will have to retire early from escorting  :-\ Past weeks were wonderful I have to admit. I've never worked here in this time of the year, so maybe it's natural and things will get back to normal, but now I'm just losing my confidence :-[ I had two TWs today... ::)

Im thinking this is the precise time of year to be in a city where there are only like 5 escorts working. So even if there is just 1 client willing to pay, they won't have much to choose from...

I know this isn't a new topic I'm at the end of my tether with frustration, I haven't had a
booking in 10 days and I'm beginning to wonder what the hell is going on. I hate being a "poor me"
but I really am struggling. I'm frantically brain storming how to get the phone ringing because
bills are piling up. Luckily I have an interview for a regular job on Wednesday, but I want to keep
working as an escort as I really do enjoy it.
Is anyone else finding it quiet or difficult at the moment, I'd really appreciate any feedback.
Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that :( You know the rule: "this too shall pass"... It WILL ring, it's just very hard to wait. Honestly I have no idea why some periods are busy and some slow but as I experienced, slow times just pass too... It's just a matter of time. Maybe you could refresh your advertising a bit - new photos, new text, etc., it works sometimes...Or a featured ad?
I know how frustrating it is, I've had a year of this in London.

Good luck on the interview, I hope you'll get the job! :D

I know it's not much comfort but I worked almost nothing in the new year, as I had an allergic reaction and now I have the flu and I can't work... :-\

Don't worry, everything will be allright :-*

I've been in a similar boat this month but this week things look like they're picking up again just in time, man this industry keeps you on the edge lol

My biggest problem since about October till recently is I've had lots of guys book then cancel, even book on the AW system then cancel, now that sucks! These guys forget this is our lives they mess mess about with when they get there kicks!  ??? ::)

See, this is why we can't ever really say when is busy and when isn't - I was so busy the first couple of weeks of the New Year I barely had time to breathe yet this week it's quiet, although I have a couple of long bookings and another next week which are more than enough to keep me going (and after the previous weeks I'm pretty relieved tbh - I've got other things to do!) Everybody's experiences are always different - I wish we could solemnly say 'Yes, October is good, but February is crap', but no two years are ever different. I do find that February is generally crap, mind. Vikki, I know we've said a number of times that touring isn't a quick fix answer to everything, but have you thought about heading off somewhere else for a couple of days? I've got London at the start of next month and I'm pretty much planning on it keeping me going for the rest of it (especially since I've just paid my tax bill  :( ). You can always organise it and then cancel if the bookings don't materialise.

It's funny you should mention that, but I've had a lot more trouble than usual this last week or so with people messing me about, especially on AW; I don't tend to get much work from there anyway, but there's been a definite upturn in people booking and cancelling or not confirming on the morning. Even the ones who do book don't seem to be leaving feedback, which does rile me when I leave it for them (I know it's petty but it's like getting blood out of a stone - I'm currently owed four just from the last couple of weeks). And the stupid phone calls and texts seem to be on the up too. I think I read something similar on another board too.

I concur with Amy. You just can't predict how the business is going to flow, even from one year to the next apart from the February thing!

Yes there are a lot booking then changing or cancelling at the moment. What's even worse is that some are coming across as really keen - things like mentioning they've tried to book in the past but they've been disappointed because I've been having a day off or something, really pleased I'm able to see them then on the day nothing, no confirmation or anything. Others promising 100% they'll be there when they've been flaky in the past - and I don't accept that promise since things do happen in real life, no one can ever be 100%, then cancelling because something has come up.

Yesterday I had more requests for bookings than I could accept and ended up turning several away, and today nothing. I did advise those I couldn't see I'd have plenty of time today and tomorrow, but that wasn't convenient for them. The business I turned away yesterday would have filled out the remainder of the week nicely.

When they want to see you they will, you just have to be patient.

Thankyou girls for all your very sensible and wise advice, you have all made very good points. I think I
lost perspective and let getting emotional and stressed get to me. I think the idea about touring may be something
I may look into, being here in North wales the market does seem to be different and a change of location will
probably refresh things, I may even move from here permanently, we'll see. I think I will freshen up my website
with a new background and add some more user friendly information. I do need more pictures, yes absolutely, I've met a female photographer lately and I'm going to ask if she'll take some good photos of me. I'll refresh my adult work advert and add my site to some more directories. My interview seemed to go well today, so if I get that job I can back up my wages with escorting which will make me happier. And as Jodie says even when the moneys coming in I'll live sensibly and save up (and not hit the sales in a retail therapy stylee like yesterday).

Thankyou again for all your comments and help

Luv

Also bear in mind January is a long month until payday.

People are usually paid early in December, then have to wait 5-6 weeks for their January salaries, so right now alot of people are broke.

mid  jan -  feb is always quiet  ( that why i never work in jan and go away for a month on holiday )
once you get past feb though and into march it dose tend to pick up a lot more
ive just got back from holiday and not back to work till next week
in this business you just live and learn and wait out the quiet spots
