It is the dilemma of:

Stay in - phone doesn't ring
Go out and enjoy life - phone rings off the hook!

Box sets are the way forward I think!

I fix that dilema easily: instead of sitting around waiting for a call, when I feel the urge to take a walk, I just walk. I do small shoppings, window shopping, or I go to harbourside, drink a coffee on the grass in front of my house, watch the people, the sky,  not much really but helps not to get pissed off and fed up. Sometimes I take the phones with me but I never rush back home if someone wants to see me in 30 minutes, I tell them I need one hour and I dont cross my own rule. Maybe Ive lost one booking, but my mind its at peace.

The last 7 days have been dead for me  Not a single booking since last Tuesday and hardly any calls. I think the world cup is having a significant impact. The bulk of my clients are city guys popping in to see me on their lunch break or after work. Canary Wharf seems dead during the day, the cafes and my gym are empty. I think they are all working through lunch so at 5 pm they can spill into the pubs to watch the football with their colleagues  I met a friend at 6 for a quick drink last night and it was mayhem!

I am using the time to update my AW profile and website, write new blogs and train hard - I am hoping to do some new photos soon and want to look super-toned! I am on a bit of an all round fitness campaign this summer and am getting quite into it! I am also exploring new advertising routes, thinking of new ways to target different client groups and looking at expanding into a visiting massage service. Past experience tells me that clients always come in fits and starts. Sometimes there is an explanation - the weather, sporting events, school holidays, bonus season, budget cuts etc, sometimes it seems totally random. When they all decide they are bored of the football, or England gets knocked out hopefully they will be excited enough by my re-vamped profiles to get booking!!!

As a mad footie supporter, I'm having a fab time although I've had a few grumbles about finishing at half four every day and I turned loads of evening bookings down over the weekend when I was touring .

I agreed with Linzi - unless the bulk of your business is in the evenings I can't imagine it making much odds. It's certainly easier than last time when South Africa was only an hour ahead and everything was during the day.

Girls so I just finish my tour in Heathrow. I didnt get any booking before but thought I might get some while staying in a hotel. Before I said I am fed up, now even more... I had no bookings at all. not evenone!!!  You know its not about the mony now but I am thinkin how useless I am and how uninteresting for men I have to be :-( it really makes me cry...

That is very unusual.

My guess is that it's either the way you present yourself, (marketing!), and/or price structure. Nothing to do with being useless or uninteresting.

It's eerily quiet here right now. Third day of not even an inquiry, nevermind a booking, after an already slow week. Kinda stressing me out. o.O
