Same, and when someone finally books it's timewaster. I can't even bare texting with them, it's never ending text exchange and they don't book. It's like they are broke and bored at home but try to message just so they can get attention. I honestly don't know what's going on. It has been quite but I was getting bookings, less than last year but I was seeing clients. Since last week it's been dead. I saw only 2 clients since Monday last week. Before I was seeing at least one a day, since I came back to London few months ago I had days when I saw no body but since last week it's been even worse
Here in my area in Scotland, the situation is similar. Last year, October was my best month.
Now I hardly get any bookings. Sometimes my phone is silent almost the whole day. If someone writes, they only want TW or SMS ping pong.
I thought a lot about what the problem could be.
I think the problem is complex.
On the one hand, the increase in the cost of living.
Also, more and more girls choose this job. Falling demand and growing supply are hurting business in every sector.
Secondly, I see the problem in the change of advertising pages. In the UK, the two main websites are AW and VS.
VS has tightened a lot about what should not be written in the text of the ads. I think that the blank, "template" text of the ads discourages the remaining guests from making reservations.
Unfortunately, my many years of experience and statistics say that even in the normal period, demand decreases as the end of the year approaches. November and December are always fewer customer inquiries and January is almost a dead period.
In this time of change, this it will be catastrophic for many of us.
