It was better last week than this week here in the North

Yes, I've noticed that the first two weeks of the months are good and the second two are bad (which is a great improvement from last month or the month before when it was "end of the month" every bloody day. I'm experiencing a veeeery slow but uphill recovery and I believe September/October things will be back to more or less normal.  Truth is peoples habits have changed: a lot of companies are going to keep their employees working from home forever, paranoia of bringing the virus home to the loved ones, unemployment, empty high streets and hotels acting like the KGB are going to change peoples habits. Added to the fact we seem to head to a cashless society. Of course all this is going to affect the sex industry and sex workers will have to adapt to a "new normal". I'm not saying it's all gloom and doom from now on (not at all) but some business models that worked for some before might not work from now on and some "adjustments" will be needed. Creativity is king right now.

Have you thought about getting a card machine to take payments? I have but worried they could cancel the payment or something

I believe there's a thread somewhere in here regarding card machine payments, I'm sure if you sign yourself as a therapist or something in the lines of it won't be a problem.

I’ve got a private apartment in Chelsea and I have never ever been this quiet in London. Not one call. This is savage. I’ve paud £1000 out for the week. Deffo cutting my tour short here. I normally make that a day. I would really advise any ladies who live a long way out of London not to bother. Stay local. I was doing just fine before I came here today. I’ve featured for all areas of London as well. Good pictures. Not one call. Fuming.

Could be worse if your local residence and work is in let's say Leicester.  :(

If it's any consolation, I'm super quiet.

Paid my sixty quid for the flat today and have do e zilch. A guy who's been before called me earlier for 7 tonight and I just knew he was going to cancel. Sure enough he just sent me a text to say sorry but something's come up. I'd just had a bath getting ready for him. I won't see him again. In fact I might text him to say, oh what a shame. I was going to wear my brand new white satin lingerie under my new secretary clothes. I don't want him having a wank though so I probably won't.

I have to say that my phone has been ringing off the hook, but not for appts that come to fruition. It's an escort boot camp around here. The most normal people will call back to confirm, but they won't be turning up. 99% don't make it through screening. "I err *heavy breathing* want to *heavy breathing* know what you.... offer *heavy breathing*". I just ask them how their granny is, to stop them in their tracks.

Hi everyone, well i'm glad its not just me!! i've worked abroad before but only just set up AW profile in London (outcall only)...my pics are very professional and i feel like my profile is good but had hardly any messages, mainly timewasters. Obviously everyone WFH and no one in hotels doesn't help and it's only been a couple of days...but still can't believe there were only 2 enquiries on a friday night!  :(

I was busier than I would of liked last week cause I was crawling up my own arse every time I sent my room number out, the hotel was like a graveyard! Supposed to do 3 days but 2 days of that was enough for my head.

It was mainly die hard regs though so I don’t expect the same this week.

Also, one of my regs who is on a forum said loads of clients have said they havnt really missed it and it will now be a treat rather than a habit, everyone is worried about money too. Most clients I had were also super nervous about hotels but they still came.

I can't believe thiss!! So i had o loot of inquiries about me returning to work. Now that i said i will return i only got 2 bookings with regulars and nothing more. By now if it was "normal" i would have been literally bombarded with appointments and inquiries. I am getting so worried about the "new normal" that's approaching... :(

Have to say I’m slow all week and then Friday and Sunday I’m bombarded with calls. I had 5 clients in last Friday as I’m working high volume lately. And four on the Sunday. Even after all those I had plenty of calls and wasn’t hanging my head wondering when the next potential client would call me. I thought this was a weekend thing but its been dead on Saturdays so I really don’t know now. All I know is I might stick to just working Friday and Sunday’s for the mean time if this pattern continues.

It's difficult to say what our industry will be like in the coming months. Will normality resume once kids go back to school, once people start earning again etc?

I can see some theory in the comment about "not missing it so doing it only as a treat" because that's how I feel with certain things that I used to do religiously. Would get my nails done weekly, now am quite happy with a home manicure using a nude varnish - £30 a week saved. I'd normally go out for dinners, at least once a week. Now if I dont want to cook, I have found some delicious restaurants nearby that deliver restaurant standard food and I dont have to faff about with taxis to and from, inflated drinks costs etc - probably £100 a week saved. This lockdown taught me to reign it in with spending and get creative myself, so I can understand why clients would feel that towards bookings.

I have noticed a difference in bookings, firstly with the level of bookings I have been getting but also a fair bit of rubbish to go along with it: cancellations; moving bookings around; reducing the time. It's definitely different to before lockdown.

I, myself, am launching other revenue streams, both in this industry and outwith. Although it sucks to not be as confident with earnings, it is giving me an opportunity to think outside the box.

Yep, this is definately a time to think "outside the box".

I'm in the city area (close yo you) and it's quite dead. I have two colleagues also in the area and they're dead too. People in the the tech and financial fields are still working from home and companies are not going to have them come back till september. Hotels in the area are still empty. However... if you have low prices you may do well with the key workers type and builders. My prices are quite steep so don;t attract that crowd unfortunately.

If you don’t mind me asking- dead as in zero clients a day? Or 2/3? I’m pretty low volume so could probably cope with only a few per week but will need to re-evaluate if it’s zero...
