Slightly strange email request - TW?
« on: 14 August 2012, 10:02:47 am »
I'm new to AW (been on there nearly a week now) and I'm offering cam and chat only but this is not a camming query so thought it'd be better posted here.

Had numerous emails from guys who want me to be an escort - despite me clearly saying on my profile that I do not offer this service. I was expecting that to happen, so it's really no bother to ignore them.

However, I got one the other day from someone who has a thing about tall women and is quite insistent that he wants to meet me, and pay me to stand next to him and no funny business. I actually have no problem with this, (I'd take someone along with me to wait nearby) but is this the mark of a time-waster? If not, how much do I charge him for the privilege of standing there just looking a bit short? I have no idea about such things!

Thanks for the laugh, thats a new one on me.

TW?  I would think so, but if not please please please be very careful if you do meet him.  Cost?  Depends how long he wants you to 'stand' next to him.  After all its your time he is paying for and not what happens in the time.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

I was going to take my henchman with me, just had no idea of what one would charge, how long I'd have to stand there, or anything. I reckon I'll politely decline, it all seems like a lot of fuss. I feel much safer in my own home in front of my laptop screen anyway.

I *do* like the idea of someone giving me oodles of cash to just be tall, it's not something I do on purpose!

I'm a size 20-22 and it's amazing how many people pay you for being overweight! I think sex work is one of the only markets where being different pays better than being "average"  ;D

It's all down to what you feel comfortable doing when it comes to requests like that. Remember all your security checks etc that are detailed on the main site. Dont think that just because he says he doesn't want sex that he won't try anything, stick to your guns and if at any point he starts acting up, get out. If you're on here chances are you're head is screwed on so chances are it could be an easy job.

This is an interesting request!  You will never know if he is a TW unless you accept a booking from him but
this is how it goes.

I have had some very off the wall requests and assumed these guys are timewasters but took a chance with some and
they were completely genuine, but  it is more than annoying when you take that chance and they turn out to be wankers|!

Whatever you decide to do please take the advice of others and have a back up get out option who is watching nearby,
the client would never know about this.

Just tell him to send a booking request via the site with full details - time, place, phone number etc.
That will probably be the last you'll hear of him  :)

If I'm wrong- and he is genuine- once you accept his request it'll all go by-the-book and if he messes you about you can leave negative feedback on his profile, so we all know to avoid him in the future ( er, even those of us who scrape the lofty heights of 5'1 and a half in their fishnet feet )   ;D

Am I allowed to accept booking requests when I'm just listed for cam and not escorting? Had a poke about on AW and I'm not sure if I can do that.

If you do accept a booking request, bear in mind that he can also leave you negative feedback which you'll have to contact the mysterious AW Authorities to dispute/remove.

Generally, if I suspect someone is a timewaster, I just avoid/block/delete all their communication attempts and forget about them, cos getting overly involved just makes them more excited and likely to act in a way that's potentially damaging to your business and/or mental state. And I never use the AW booking system for anything (unless a client specifically wants to make a booking request) - setting your own confirmation procedure works just as well and doesn't put you at risk for getting spiteful feedback. I know others do rely on the system, of course, but I've heard too many nasty stories that begin with "He had great feedback on AW so I was really surprised when..." to do so myself.

Thanks all for the suggestions and advice. I've decided I'm just going to ignore the poor blighter, regardless of whether he's genuine or not. I started out doing this to stay indoors, by myself, on my own time, so I'm going to stick to that. I am tempted by extra money for not doing much but I'm already getting money for not doing very much! I'll just have to do a bit more "not much" to make up for the not-standing-next-to-a-chap, I guess. :-)
