Punter left his phone here. What to do?
« on: 08 December 2016, 11:44:18 am »
Totally at a loss here and not sure what to do for best.

Punter who is a bit scatter-brained - first time he came he managed to go to the wrong street. This time he found my place okay but on leaving he was going "Did I have my glasses on when I arrived? I can't remember?" and wandering around looking for his glasses, which didn't appear. In the interim he must have put his phone down on the side. About 5 mins after he left I noticed it sitting there.

He contacted me direct by phone so I don't have an AW username for him or anything.

I live in a house that's divided into two flats and I'm worried he's going to come back and ring my neighbour's doorbell and ask for me by my work name.

I've tried looking him up on Truecaller but although it's given me a surname, I can't find him on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter, nor on 192.com.

Any ideas? Short of just sitting here and hoping he comes back when I'm in and not otherwise engaged  ???

If it's just a cheap phone for him to contact escorts on I bet he'll just write it off and buy himself a new one. If it's his actual personal phone then hopefully he'll have the sense to post a note through your door asking to contact him on his email address to arrange for him to collect it.

It might well be a second phone, it's a small Samsung with a smashed screen.

When he got here he said his battery had just died so that sounds like a second phone, doesn't it? Because who leaves the house with their main phone on 5% battery.  I'm just charging it up, thinking he might get one of his mates to ring it or something, and if so I could answer and say I found it on the pavement.

The only thing makes me think it might be his main phone is that his full name is in Truecaller under this number.

If it's not locked, look for "mom" or someone similar or someone he's texted recently and say that you found it on the pavement in front of a local shop. Turn it in to the shop.

It was locked, but panic over as he managed to ring me from a mate's phone (guess he's not quite as gormless as I thought) and he's coming to collect it shortly. Phew!!

This happened to me in a hotel he'd visited , regular and I knew he was coming back in 3 days , but it rang with a pic of his house on saying home calling on the screen .

I didn't answer , but then he called my phone , number on aw , and said it was him ( remember he can mail you etc.

Asked me to switch off and he'd pick up ( I was a bit peed off as had a live band next to my room and they offered me a switch but I couldn't be sure he'd get a message saying I'd changed rooms)
He did 3 days later so two bookings out of it lol x

Good thing that was sorted. I would have been quite anxious about resolving that. I wouldn't want that hanging over my head. I wouldn't want to worry in the back of my mind whilst going about my business and seeing other clients.

Oh fuck I just realised that I left the watch left by a client in the hotel room last week. I was going to post it to a regular in his home town.

This happened to me once!
A really nice client left his phone in the hotel I was working from and I just didn't know what to do!

I went through the contact list to see if there was anyone in there I could text and say I found it at a bus stop or similar but it was just WGs descriptions like "Big tit blonde Bham" which made me laugh!

It was an iPhone 4s, I checked the email to see if he had a punting email or AW email so I could get the username, thankfully he had a Aw username and I sent an email to that and he got it.

I've had a client leave his watch before and a regular once left his wedding ring! I told him to never take it offer after that!
