I'm debating working from home because I was reading about prostitution stings, rapes, and robberies yesterday it  scared me! I feel like I would be at an advantage because I know where everything is and the general area around me. Plus I wouldn't have to worry about travel expenses and leaving something at home (on the way to the hotel).

Now here are the cons

-I have roomies. While they aren't uber nosy or constantly around the house the client might peak out of the room at the wrong time causing stares & rumors...and possibly worse. Plus if I got caught the police may consider them guilty by association & they may get in trouble too (I have to rsch that a little more). The neighbors are nosy as well but I have that worked out..

-Seedy. Though I have never been in fear for my life I have been told that my neighborhood isn't the best. Because of this I am worried that I may have to decrease my rates  :( not to mention business may slow down as clients may not be comfortable coming to my house;  some clients prefer a hotel)

Stalker/crazy. If I get a client that wants to stalk me or plain wants to out me for w.e they can torture me to no end because they know where I live...

I need advice/help...would you work from home in my situation???

I wouldn't work from home in your situ because you have roomies. Clients won't like it, your romm mates won't like it, you won't be able to relax or even send the client for a shower if everyone's in.

What if I didn't have roommates...would you reccommend it then

In your situation with room mates I wouldn't but I've always worked from home.
I live alone although I do have my other half and he stays over quite often but I am always extra vigilant with security checks, personal items and money hidden away, security buddy and security calls, etc.
I much prefer working from home. But everyone has their own preferences and circumstances.
I only ever had problems on the one time when I ever did an outcall.

If I choose to work from I would prob only take booking through emails with the ones that have positive feedbacks.
