 Hello all!

I am new at this place and an escort on hiatus from the United States.  I know this board is mostly for folks across the pond but, I need advice and to notify people of something tragic for anyone who got tested in the states through a clinic called "AIM" or "Adult Industry Medical", a clinic for sex workers of all types to get tested and support.  It was open for 13 years.

It seems that someone stole the entire medical file and posted all the names on a site called pornwikileaks.com.  Any person who got tested there from Jenna Jameson to little me has their real full name, stage name, address, and even some had pictures of their own children and parents home address on the site, too.  The FBI  has closed down the site but, no one is being thrown in jail or persued.  The info till shows up in searches and is cached even with the site shut down.  The "unknown" creator is still threatening that the site will be put back up!

What do I do?  I am going to college to work with children.  I worry that having this information out will not only harm my future, but since this site was open for a year...who knows what clients knew of it and now know who I am.... ???  I tried contacting Google but, no response and if someone Googles my real name it pops up straight away!

Sorry my first post is negative but, I need advice...I just do not understand how 13,000 sex workers can be affected by this and no one is fighting it more!

Hi Robyn, Welcome to Saafe. I don't have any advice for you, but I'm sure there are some bods on here who will be able to assist. As it's Friday eve here in UK, there might not be many people around, so if this is the case I just wanted to welcome you and let you know you're not being ignored on purpose! :)

No problem, hope you get the help you need ASAP. And while this forum is mainly UK based, WGs from all over the world are certainly most welcome :) I just wish *I* could give you some advice  :(

Hi Robyn,

I read that story somewhere and thought that whoever did that was really fucked up. For every Jenna Jameson and Sasha Grey working today, there are thousands of other people who have worked in porn who are now teachers, lawyers, doctors, housewives?people with a vested interest in keeping their past concealed by a pseudonym. But I would think  all the actors/actresses involved would unite and sue the hell out of this "Donny Long" guy, why hasn't this happened?  (Just curious)

The only thing I can think of is a change of name. As far as I know the US is the only place were you can have your name changed. Or set up a money fund with all the actors  involved and pay some  proffesional IT guys to delete the cache from google. Sorry if I'm not very helpful but it's the only solutions I can see.

big hug  ???

Well I figure if the people in my life love me, they won't disown me or forget my name that quickly so a name change will only  be if some stalker is involved...I get nervous cause it has happened with some guys.

Funny thing is out of 13,000-15,000 people only 1,500 people are active in the sex industry who are on the list...the rest are retired...hell some girls didn't even work they got the test for work and decided it wasn't for them!  Its just a bad situation. Im trying to work with the people in the industry to find a solution but, alas everyone is clueless.  In fact, some have said this is freedom of speech.  I'm sure you have heard how much that is abused over here.  Also they can not prove this Donny Long did it....not to mention the police do not respect sex workers over here.

Though the *BIG HUG* did make me feel better.

"freedom of speech?"  Don't think so. This is confidential private data stolen from a clinic so I'm not sure the freedom of speech applies here but I guess you've talked with a lawyer and done your own research. On the other hand the FBI is too concerned right now with their own wikileaks outings so I can see why a "bunch of porn actors" getting outed are not on their top priority list... I know it's unfair but unfortunately it's the way things work in this world. Try hiring a pro techie guy and having delete the cache (I did it and it worked for me). I doubt it would get published online again because nobody wants to mess with the FBI.

What a mess. You can be certain that some lawyers are going to get richer.

The leak of the incredibly confidential info - even though AIM has gone, I wouldn't like to be anyone associated with it, because their lawyers are included in the lot above - happened long enough ago that although it'll disappear from Google's cache at some point, the info will be out there somewhere.

Were you using it for porn certificates or for other sex work? If there's no video evidence, you could try denying it's you if it ever comes up. Either way, the author clearly has mental health issues and that'll help you.

sue the hell out of this "Donny Long" guy, why hasn't this happened?  (Just curious)

Before suing someone, step one is to check that they're worth suing. I also suspect that this person has more to worry about than law suits.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Hi Robyn,

I read about this site a while back. How long has the website been down for? I ask because after time the cached copy will disappear from the search results. It definitely won't be there forever.

There is an option to request an urgent removal of a page from the cache: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=164734&&hl=en - the caveat from Google is that the webmaster has first taken the offending page down, which you say he has done.

You'll need to create a Google webmaster tools acount to gain access to the URL removal tool.

Also, don't forget to do the same checks in Bing and Yahoo and follow their procedures if you find your info listed in the cache. Again though, it will disappear once the website is next crawled.

Good luck. If you need any help, don't hesitate to send me more info via PM.

Suzy I tried the tools too an it only works if you own the cached domain. If you have nothing to do with it you need to send google a PDF with the lawsuit and case number otherwise it won't  remove it.

I need to add a response to Ana30 who said it's not possible to remove a page from Google's cache without being the owner. It is, according to the Google page I linked to. It says:

If you don't own the site, your first step is to contact the site's webmaster and request that the content is removed. (Note that depending on the type of removal?see below?some other changes may also be necessary). Once the changes have been made, you can request removal of the content from appearing as a cache copy or snippet in Google's search results by using the public URL removal tool. (It bears repeating: The site owner?whether it's you or somebody else?must have first made the required changes to the site, or this process will not work to remove the content from search results.) The site owner will be able to see your removal request in their own Webmaster Tools account.

I did a quick search and the public URL removal tool is apparently here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals

So they say it can be done and I would definitely try it.

Can anyone copy and paste this advice into the thread itself so Robyn sees it?

Thanks,

Suzy
