Over Use of Working Name - Red Flag?
« on: 06 December 2022, 01:39:59 pm »
I had my first look and go in 6 years yesterday and the last time I had one of those was when I used the available today feature on AW.

The only red flag I had was the over use of my name. He said it almost every other word  ::)

When I've had men do that before they're usually hard work, but nothing as extreme as what happened yesterday.

Anyone else have experience with this?

The look and go I had was someone who was quite rude in his manner, quite barky and even though he knew he'd booked my earliest start time phone 20 minutes before his appointment time pushing me to see him earlier. He didn't even look at me on the doorstep, was looking at his phone all the way up the path, glanced up (he was wearing sunglasses) said " I can't do this" turned and walked away. Ten minutes later sent a text saying he didn't fancy me. I and my property were tip top that day (actually slightly slimmer than my photos (for those who say they walk because of weight gain etc).

Was quite obvious he was nervous, guilty, ashamed or at least that's the only sense I could make of it.

I do find it odd when someone pointedly uses a name in each sentence but I'm not sure that's something to associate with time wasters.

I’m getting better at using my time waster radar, but the occasional numpty still gets through.

Using your name a lot is very weird and would put me off. If someone is obviously new(and they come back fine in my screening), you can put it down to them being a little nervy. But if anything sets you off, in future, I would decline.

I had a look and go a while ago and he was normal
In his texts. But he literally walked in, went “Not for me,” and laughed. Then left laughing down the hall. You can’t predict unhinged.

It is a toss up. Never try to guess the mental motivativation of men in their actions.   Some men are nervous for various reasons and some men just don't want to follow through at the end of the day.  Just put it down to physical preference not aligning and think no more of it or it will drive you bonkers trying to figure out why they walked.

When they use my name a lot I often find they work in sales or other professions where they do it to "build rapport". I don't think it's a TW thing. In fact TW rarely use my name, probably because they've spammed the same message to 20 girls!
