I'm new to this, I've had three clients so as you can imagine, not particularly experienced.
Yesterday I had this guy and I went to his house (was 10 minutes late due to the satnav but I contacted him and informed him of what happened and he was fine with it, it was not fault of my own.)
I got there and right at meeting him he kissed me, his hands were all over me and was guiding me to his co*k. So I giggled kissed him back and said money first.
He said oh of course and let me into the house. He game me the money, made a punt at me for having to count it, and sat down and told me to get naked. I asked him if I could quickly go for a wee, he said yeah sure pointed me to the bathroom. I came out and said don't worry I'll make the time start from now because I'd been late and took a while to get in a stuff, so I checked my phone and said what the time was.
He went absolutely nuts. He got up and was like WHAT, I was like because I'm obviously not gunna include going for a wee and stuff. He was like YOU'RE TIMING THIS, did a really big sigh and said get out!. I tried to explain myself and he said 'you should not be doing this for the money, obviously moneys involved but you should be doing this for the enjoyment, I was really looking forward to seeing you and you've ruined it'. I was like I do enjoy this and I was looking forward to seeing you too (cause he sounded really nice on the phone). He told me I was not cut out for this, I'm clearly completely inexperienced, he has girls all the time and none of them tell him the time. He knew I was inexperienced whilst booking me btw. I tried to say 'yeah I am new to this but I'd read online that lots of girls inform guys of the time to show they're not being ripped off' And he was like HA WHY are you researching this? it should not be something you do for the money.
 So after not letting me explain myself he told me to get out.
I said fine but you've clearly misunderstood me and I apologise for that.
Gave the money back and said I'm taking ?20 for petrol. Then he had the cheek to count the money!

Was I as out of order as this? I don't understand his reaction at all, he was so rude. Thank you for reading this, constructive criticism would be appreciated.

You don't understand his reaction because it was that of a complete bellend who was hoping to take advantage of you and not a genuine punter who understands how booking in units of time work. And you clearly know this no matter how inexperienced you are, so I'd say that your spidey-senses are working perfectly .

The other things you could have done was get started and then leave after ten minutes, since you're not 'supposed' to be timing things. If you're working as a prostitute for 'enjoyment' and none is forthcoming, then most people would reasonably assume it's OK to just bog off when you feel like it.

Good reviews on AW do not mean much - most girls are too "nice" to be honest (or mainly worried about their safety / survival on AW).  AW should do more to protect us.  They should really show how many bookings were made and how many positive they got out of, rather than only positive feedbacks.  Currently, you can see these details only on men with aliases.  If someone had ONLY three positives, he may have booked 12-25 times and clearly something happened and not adding up.

Mentioning time is fine, you were only being fair. I tend to just let the booking overrun if I'm late, or we are delayed by me but you were still definitely not out of order. Unless you charge by service and not time, he was being a total prick.
