Multiple numbers
« on: 05 February 2024, 03:14:00 pm »
Just want some advice how to deal with someone who has multiple numbers. I've seen him twice but I don't want to see again as I think he's dodgy and involved with crime. He also won't take no for an answer. He's also cancelled a few times too.

I must have about 6 numbers for him so far.
Help!

What happens if you do say 'No'?

If being polite doesn't work. Then change tactics to being bluntly rude.   Other than that I would keep blocking every number he rings from.

He just gets other numbers. It's a different number almost every time he calls

If you’ve told him you don’t want to see him again and gets you in different numbers then he is booking you by deception. I would tell him if he does it again you’ll be calling the police. Someone booked me by deception before and I called the police, they tracked his home address down and went to his house to give him a warning, his family were there but they shouldn’t try book us under deception!! As it’s disrespectful and can put us in vulnerable situations. Plus why would they want to have sex with someone who has already said no. It’s no better than rape

Exactly this needs reporting to the police, police took action when someone harassing me boasted he would book me but I wouldn't know who he is. If he's involved in crime they may already have him on their radar.

At which point do you know it's him?  If it's when he calls then just keep telling him you are fully booked. If it's not until he rocks up is it safe to refuse him or would it cause too much trouble?

I had one like this years ago and he kept changing numbers but I recognised his voice.  There was one time he slipped the net and I didn't notice til the end of the booking but never told him but again just kept refusing him on the new number.

Other than that I can only suggest like the others that you contact the police or NUM and maybe they can do it if you wish to remain anonymous.

He actually text me to ask whether I wanted to see him again and I said I didn't think it was for the best. That was after he rang me again on another number and tried to hide his accent to try and catch me out.

It's been quiet but I think it's the calm before the storm. I'm almost certain I will hear from him again.
