moonfruit web advice please?
« on: 28 May 2007, 06:00:42 pm »

 hi,

i am new to web making and am working on a moonfruit web space which has a 14 day free trial.
after 14 days i can carry on free by dispalying adverts.
i have found other WGs on moonfruit and they have loads of banners on thier page.
i dont want to be advertised or linked to loads of places
my question is, do i have a say in how many banners will be on my site or do i simply have no chioce and get a bundle?
also, if i pay for subscription, will that be without banners and will i have more of a say in where im advertised.
sorry if these are dumb questions but i only learnt how to upload pics this week.

helo and welcome
im not very familiar with moonfruit but i do know a lot of escorts do use moonfruit
have a look at this site www.amandakent-bbw.moonfruit.com
on this site amanda has her links only to other escort websites which are the sites she is advertised on
you can be linked to as many or a few websites are you wish..however most (if not all) directories do ask for a return link for you to advertise on their website
to be honest think about who you want to link to,i dont have that many links myself as i am not a fan of being listed on random websites at least the ones im listed on im pretty positive that of there was a problem or i had to come offline quickly they would remove me,im not too sure about some others though
im hoping someone will be able to advise you who has a moonfruit website , but im also sure that some others will help
welcome btw
 ;D

I would imagine that there is a set bundle but I have never used Moonfruit so not sure.

At least they are upfront about it. I've heard of webmasters charging ladies for sites (build, host and maintainance fees) but then adding their own money making banners without the ladies getting a choice in the matter.

As far as I am concerned if a lady pays someone to do their site then they are employing that webmaster to do what they want and so the webmaster deciding to add banners of his/her own choice is just plain rude.

hi,

just to say, i have run out of my 14 day trial and have decided to pay for my site for a year, without adverts.

agreed, i do want a say in where my site will be advertised and i want to be able to remove it easily, if i need to. there seems to be some unscrupulous people out there and i dont want to be tied up with them or thier rules!
thank you for your advice so far. i really appreciate it. ;D

hugs Jen xx
