Laws with escorting in scotland?

Hi everyone, Im a 19 year old escort very new to this,
Iv recently been told that if the police wanted to they could come to my house confront me on what im doing/possibly warn me. But i thought that escorting is legal in scotland? aslong as your doing it in privacy. And if my neighbours were to complain to the police they could caution me?
Can someone help me on this?

Hi there

You are not breaking the law in Scotland or anywhere else for that matter in the UK by working alone but police may be able to come to your place if someone complains about another matter which relates to your work.

It all depends where you are how they address the problem involved.  Although Scottish police is all one now they still all have their own ways of working.
