Maybe she is, but I have not worked since the day she came. I took my ad down plus my period just started yesterday so perfect timing. The only people who have been coming here are deliveroo/ubereats drivers bringing food about 3 times a day. I plan to start working again next Monday.

Do you think I should e-mail her to follow up? Maybe get a lawyer to write a letter saying she is breaching my privacy if she's watching me like that and I have a right to sue? Or should I just leave it and continue on working like nothing ever happened? I worry that they may stage a booking, my profile is so easy to find, being one of a few black WGs here

She also kept asking about my family when she came, almost as if she was perceiving me to be some helpless runaway being pimped out and taken advantage of in a faraway land. Hi Anna...Not uber driver for taxi, It's UberEats-- a food delivery service by the Uber company. They bring food on mopads or bicycles. I did tell her about food deliveries prior to when she came to inspect as I was trying to explain the foot traffic. She said, "it's ok to have food delivered obviously but I have had reports and complaints about other suspicious people coming there for unscrupulous activity".  Looking at the CCTV, she will clearly be able to distinguish someone dropping a paper bag of food, handing it to me and leaving after 30seconds Vs a nervous-looking punter who comes in and stays for an hour.

Anyway, the lawyer-boyfriend thing would have been very good actually, if only I had thought of it at the time she asked. It's done now I guess

A possible idea: could you invite a couple of friends over - a little bit like a set up for the nosy neighbours and incase they do keep checking the CCTV. Maybe a girl friend too. Then if she does call you out on it, you can tell her you have proof they're your friends. Perhaps show some photos of you guys to prove you're legitimately just mates. Might make her back off a bit?

Nothing, it's kinda driving me mad. thanks for thinking of me/my situation

She does know that part of my income comes from cryptocurrency (which is true). I showed her proof during the application. I invest in altcoins and had some insane returns which helped me to cover part of the 6months' advance rent when I first moved in. I was thinking of telling her that I also run a small consulting business on the side and clients come to the apartment to learn how to invest in crypto plus friends from college also visit. I will make it believable and set up a website etc. But she might also have a problem with running a business from a residential place

I'd love to learn about investing in cryptocurrency!
On the other note, how are things doing?

Landlady hasn't said a thing. I am going to ask her politely (via email) if she will renew the lease in July so I can start planning. I doubt she will renew, but at least I will know. She gave me mixed messages when I saw her, like she was angry at me but also did show concern for a few seconds. I think she decided to just wait until the lease expires in July, so she won't have to do the eviction. Part of me wants to stay on after July, not likely going to happen. I am going to make the most of the 4 months I have left here. I will update tomorrow when she replies

Thanks for the update. I’m glad that at least you’re able to carry on until end of the lease. If she doesn’t renew then alright at least you’re able to plan ahead and find a better location that doesn’t come with old nosey twats like your neighbour.

Ps. All good also on this front. The matter have blown over and I had no trouble. Neither the bloke opposite me and anyone from either side of me has said anything.
