Hi,

So, I just started a week ago and have seen 5 clients. All older and respectful which I'm grateful about but I had one guy today who was lovely, goodlooking and fit. He said that he use to be a Male escort. We actually spoke for awhile and he specializes, he obviously could be making it up but I saw his website. And gave me a few handy tips. So, we have sex and it's fun, he actually knows what he's doing but the condom breaks and we don't notice until after...

He has said he's clean and said he could show me his clinic tests but I'm freaking the f out. I have a partner who doesn't know that I do this on the side... helping paying off Bill's that we're stressing over. I can't not sleep with him for six months until I have a positive assurance that it's negative! Omg, I don't know what to do!

I've ordered s test kit but it obviously won't come up from 5 hours but I'm freaking out! I don't want to take PCP as I heard it can cause serious damage.

I'm afraid there isn't really anything you can do for at least 2 weeks, and obviously, due to the pandemic/lockdown some GUM services may be affected.

Happened to me twice with same guy, I realised that it happened in doggy and I believe he broke them on purpose. I freaked out both times and had to take morning after. He was not well endowed either. But it is a worry for sure.

Condoms break/ split (sometimes by accident, sometimes sadly not), it's a occupational hazard and reality. You/ we all should have conducted a " Risk assessment" on this.

Example.

Condom splits

Risks:
1.STI.
2. Pregnancy.

Managing Risks:

STI/ STD
Q's
 1. Do I know the symptoms of the different STD's ?
 A's yes/ no.
2. Do I have a home stash/ supply of the correct antibiotics ?
A's yes/ no
3. Do I have the home testing kits for HIV and the common bacterial STD's?
A's yes/ no
4. Do I know were my local NHS community GUM clinic is?
A's yes/ no


Pregnancy
1. Am I using any form of secondary protection (excluding the withdrawal method) for example, the pill, the coil, diaphragm/cap?
A's yes/ no

If the answer to any of the questions are no then move to the next stage.

Action Plan

1. Educate myself
2. seek help
3 buy what I need to protect/ treat myself.

I know it's a worry, but try not to worry.

The chances of you catching anything are slim, and anything serious are even slimmer.

I never take any attention from guys who say yeah I'm.a male escort yeah check me out yeah I'll help you make content....those guys can get the f out.

But again, the percentages are extremely minimal.

I;'m so sorry to hear this. it is a worry. I have had this happen quite a few times over the years, and I just get checked as soon as I can, but I've never caught anything when this happened. Are you using enough lube? I found that using more lube stopped alot of these mishaps x

So, I'm going to buy more lube! I have home tests I can do and I'm going to call the local GUM clinic. I think you're right about the chances of it being slim but it's just a hazard of the job!

You have really helped ease my mind so thank you! Pregnancy is impossible so I'm just worrying about HIV

Yeah, he's all about let's make content now and won't leave me alone. So, I think he has done it on purpose. Fuck. What a dick head. Tried to know my real name so I gave him another fake one and then told me I shouldn't have given it to him?! And then said he could train me.

So, nurses said I'm low risk due to him being a white British Male and I'm to go in for tests + Hep A&B and that in 6 weeks. Not worried anymore but will not be so trusting.

If you're using Durex, switch to something else. I had 2 split in my first 2 weeks. Switched to Mates and Lynx brands and since then have only had one break in 4 years.

Anyone who tells me they're a male escort when trying to book, I just refuse to see. They're delusional to a man. I'd block this idiot if I were you.

Regarding getting tested, I'd try to book for 2wks time as the most common ones will show up then. Then just make sure you're getting them monthly after that, and be honest at the GUM so they can offer you Hep vaccinations etc.

Try to put it out of your mind for now and come up with a reason why you and your partner suddenly need to use condoms. This will undoubtedly happen again - as a PP said, it's an occupational hazard.
