Do you advertise which kind of place you?ll be working from?
« on: 17 November 2017, 10:30:32 pm »
I never mention that I?m working from hotels in my incall ads as I don?t wish to draw unnecessary attention, I seen the other day another escort advertising as working from high end or luxury premises (I know it?s a hotel as I gave her the recommendation). I?m wondering if it makes a difference to the client you attract.

Last week I was staying in the same luxury hotel and had my client this evening turned up, he?d likely have been turfed out. I don?t really care what people wear so long as they are clean but it came to mind that some clients are more likely to attract attention than others. I?m in a fairly nice hotel this evening where you walk right past reception, he turned up in a pair of trackies, a camouflage coat and a baseball cap and I just think if I was on desk, I?d probably notice him more than anyone else.

So, do you mention you?re staying in a hotel/apartment, do you hint towards being able to walk in easily without raising eyebrows?

I mention I stay in nice accommodation and always say hotel if asked.
Lots of guys prefer hotels as it's safer for them too.

I remember speaking to another SP who recommended me various hotels and she made a point of saying that for one in particular, the men should be discrete and dressed appropriately - I just don?t know how to word it.

Do you think if I put on my profile, it?s hotels I work from that would be a big enough hint?

No because some it wont make any difference to like some who turn up with smelly cheesy cock and body odour even though you say must be hygenic.

This guy was perfectly clean, but dressed so inappropriately for where I am. I dunno. I generally find that I attract people who are on the same page but for him, he was one of the clients where I suited him in terms of type only and nothing else, I didn?t even offer the services he wanted because despite confirming in the phone call, he had to ask again mid booking.

He?s a rarity but I?m cautious as have cctv right outside my door.

Yep - I put in my headline "Hotel with free parking, 2 mins J45 A1"

I would rather put off those punters who can't handle the thought of walking into a hotel.

I used to put I stay in high end hotels with easy access etc , but I don't now just because of any management issues , finding my profile, my postcodes are a bit obvious at a couple of places I tour, plus others can set you up .

So I say high end accomodation , think that's ok , says it without saying it .

Thanks Ladies, I think this is what I?ll try from now on. I just wasn?t sure and know everyone has different approaches. Thanks again x

I don't think it hurts to cater to the lowest common denominator when it comes to punters and hotel, i.e. say in your profile if you're working from a hotel, and whether it's cheap and cheerful or high end. Some will just want to avoid all hotels. I'm always so nervous about idiots looking furtive, or even worse - asking for you at reception (it has been known!)

Probably for me, I'd gauge it by how they were on the phone, and then give directions as appropriate - or just reject if I didn't think they could manage it without cocking up.

He aced the phonecall - turns out when he turned up I had seen him before but it was 18months ago. Just seems like a liability for when I?m working from hotels but I?ll note it in my phone. X

I always work from hotels.

If a guy sounds a bit chavvy on the phone and I'm in a higher end hotel, I will just flat out ask him what he's wearing. If he says "trackies innit" then I'll turn him down. If he's in work overalls I'm not too bothered. It's more the whole trackies plus hoodie plus baseball cap that I don't want.

I had a young black guy show up to my City hotel wearing his work clothes - he worked as a welder. Lovely guy but at the end of the booking I told him that his attire wasn't suitable for a City hotel - between him being young and being black, hotel staff would possibly be racist and keeping an eye on him.

Once had a young Asian fellow in a hoodie stopped by a doorman at a hotel near Waterloo. I met him on later occasions and he's actually in a well-paid marketing job. That was just a day off and he was casual. Again, racism may have contributed to him being stopped.

I was back in the City (same hotel) and a young-ish guy asked if I saw black guys. I said of course I do but I stressed that it was a hotel where he should be dressed to blend in. No need to worry - he  was coming straight from his job at a bank and was impeccable.

Like VC, if I'm in a London hotel and someone sounds young or perhaps working class, I may tell them that they need to be in business attire. Obviously, a middle-age, middle-class white guy can wear what he likes: there are some unfair double standards.

Oh! Wait! I did forget the posh white guy who came to my London hotel wearing the most bizarre orange and purple plaid trousers. He was a strange fellow - considered himself eccentric, I guess. I was annoyed with him because he would stand out to hotel staff both coming and (one hour later) going. But, he wouldn't have been stopped because his eccentricity was ever so posh.  ::)

If basically just wrote a similar thread on what a client wore to my apartment....trackies and hoodies are unsavoury they are classed as chavvy Scally clothes which means they are seen and judged as "a type" of person. I do say dress smart but one slipped through the net yesterday and the person next door to were I was working watched were he went. Which of course was to my door I was livid.
