On my first outcall I wore a skirt suit and pretty much stood there looking like a deer caught in headlights! I'm cringing thinking about it now lol. I have no idea where I got the skirt suit from - I think I watched Secret Diary and I thought 'oh... ok'.
I tell them I dress 'normally' until I arrive and change in their bathroom so I don't draw attention to them. Normal for me is usually jeans and a hoody so... maybe not that normal. So I usually wear a normal, albeit form fitting, dress, and change into my heels in the lift. I drive usually, plus I can't walk in killer heels so unless they're into broken ankles...
If they say it's fine, they don't care what reception thinks (some men do, particularly in smaller hotels with a 'hot' reception, most men in big hotels don't care; home outcalls I find they do appreciate you not drawing the attention of their neighbours), I just wear my usual 'work type' dresses with stockings, lingerie and a long, securely buttoned up coat. I personally love when they're on high floors as it gives me time to unbutton, change shoes, fix myself... there's nothing worse than that 'bing' and doors opening to people waiting to get in it whilst you're faffing about!
I have pretty much one go-to faithful dress that's a favourite, but I usually have about 5 circulating. Personally I have a separate wardrobe for work, and I don't see the point in buying expensive clothes because they're usually on the floor within 20 mins anyway. I have several pairs of shoes, including ones I can easily kick off if a situation is making me uncomfortable.
Primark's stockings are pretty decent for the price they are - personally I prefer H&M, but Primark usually gets everyone out of a tight spot once in their life.
You'll probably want in your bag:
- condoms (obviously)
- baby wipes
- nappy sacks (some outcalls just tell you to chuck it in their bin, it's just force of habit now for me to tidy up everything)
I also agree re not drinking. I drank before my first job and whilst I was very much your stereotypical student at the time who knocked back vodka like it was water, it probably made the situation worse for me.
