Hey all, and in particular, Emily,
I am in Wales, as you might know. I have avoided agencies and gone independent.
I dislike the thought that they will take a cut from me when I am prepared to do all the marketing and garnering of clients myself. Even though I am going slow here, I am going, it is trickling in and things are slowly picking up now I hope.
I also wanted to be able to personally vet any clients I had for my own peace of mind.
However....
Emily, you are quite young and perhaps need the security an agency gives you. (No, I am not knocking the young ones, your all lovely
)
For Emily in particular, you sound as if you worry a lot and need the help an agency can give to you as you start out. Somebody you can call in with before and after and the backup of a driver if you need it.
If you would like me to post you a book Emily, I have one here that might be of some use to you. It's very interesting and tells you the in's and out's of agency work, what to look out for and also what this line of work entails. I found the book a great help when I first considered doing escorting. I ended up going alone and not with an agency, but the book helped me to educate myself and become more aware of the risks, the pitfalls, the good times and the bad without frightening me, preaching to me and generally 'telling' me if you understand what I mean by that. It's a good read and you should take the time to read it I think.
If you want the book then PM me your address and I will post it out to you straight away. No I don't want anything for it. It will give me great peace of mind to know your reading up on this and creating a safer environment in which you can work.
Jo
