If ive got a client who i think is outstaying their welcome i will just say something along the lines that ive had a lovely time but i really need to be getting on with things as i have another appointment coming up and need to prepare. Just be polite but firm at the same time, dont feel bad for asking them to go,after all they are paying for an agreed time with you and that is all they are entitled to in my opinion,

It's a tough one.
Tell them your mother is due for a visit?
Should send them scarpering out the door!

Daytime excuses -  You have an appointment to get ready for with (Dentist, Doctor, GUM Clinic, accountant, bank manager, Boss from real life job)  or make up a part time college class your doing (flower arranging, spanish, quantum physics!!! careful with this one)  Or just say you have another client coming over you need to get ready for.  Or the plumber/gas man/electrician is due round.

Night time excuses - Meeting friends for late drinks/supper, you work in a night club you have to start working late, you need to get up at stupid o'clock for a job interview, your flat mate is coming home.

Just a few i rattled off from the top of my head... something tells me im going to be better at the secretive side of this job than i first anticipated!!!!

hmmm...the way I feel is that even if that's true, thats not the best thing to say out of hundreds of other excuses...reason being is not only do they not feel special at the moment, but it also makes us (escorts) seem 'out there'.

yes I know, in this industry they arent the only ones we are meeting, and they already figure they're not the only one, but psychlogically its better to not say something like, "I have to hurry up and get ready for another guy, so you have to get going"...which is basically what that translates into.

A similar, yet better approach would be..."well, you know this does go based on time"...and they will get the point. That way they atleast feel 'special' for the time being.

In other circumstances I'd agree, but not in this case. Anybody that feels he can take the piss and try and take advantage of me and my time, I'd have no problems telling them that I've got another customer lined up. If it puts them off coming to see me again, then so be it, then I won't have to put up with his timewasting antics again. The last thing that would be on my mind would be wanting to make them feel special. It would give them the idea that I have nothing else better to do with my time after our booking other than to watch him drag his feet. It would also give them the idea that I accept it, thus coming back and pulling the same trick.

I don't mind if it's me that takes my time with a customer, I've done it many times, so it's not about the money. It's about the customer respecting your boundaries. If he pays for an hour, unless you decide otherwise, he has no right to stay for longer.

I totally agree Brandy, I've got a regular who thinks it's ok to take ages to leave, always chatting about rubbish. I said I had another client so I'm afriad he'd have to be on is way. I get my phone out and say I'm going to have to text my security, theyre getting tetchy about time - he soon got the message and now books for longer. :D
Good luck!

Believe you me my good clients are pampered and made to feel very 'special' indeed. Someone who is clearly running over their time when its not my choice for them to do so is crossing my boundaries and displaying bad manners and in those circumstances i have no problem with making it clear its time for them to go (in politely a manner as i can)

As for us escorts being 'out there',any client with half a brain cell knows that they aren't the only man we are offering our services too and if they cant cope with that fact then i would suggest they maybye shouldn't be visiting escorts in the first place!

What she said! I have and often do run over time with regulars especially, as well as new clients who may be nervous. I don't charge for chatting/showering time and so on, and I don't stand there with a stopwatch; anyone taking the piss is therefore told politely, but in no uncertain terms that it's home-time. My worst overrun ever was a late-night one hour booking turning into five, but that was my fault because I was asleep :D.

And what on earth does 'out there' mean? Sorry, but I hate jargon like this; it's the sort of management-speak bollocks I left behind when I packed in civvy street (I'm fine with foul language, incidentally  ;D).

They can have a fantasy while knowing it's not true though, and part of our job is to facilitate their fantasies as long as they're playing by the rules. If they're taking the piss then they should know that their fantasy time is up, but if they just need a nudge to leave then polite excuses are the way to go.

Oh i agree the fantasy element is important.
My situation might be a bit different as i work for an agency and offer mostly in calls, most of my clients seem pretty clued up on the fact i will have more clients that day etc,in fact most of them love to ask me about it! If anything i usually try and change the subject cos i don't really like to discuss it (i am a lady after all ;))

Maybye one day i will go independent and can create a more exclusive persona, its more difficult to do that when you work for an agency :(
Although i try my best!

thanks for the advice ladies, normally clients dont overstay their welcome but you get the chancers,i normally will say that
'Unfortunately i think our wonderful time together is coming to an end'
Most get this, a quick shower, say their good-byes and bugger off but you get some  who will shower for twenty minutes, dress and chat and knowing fully there's another guy on his way With this lot ,i actually will answer my phone after his time is up. Some want to book an additional hr and i sometimes have anther clien on his way ...so too bad!

I'm thinking of setting up an alarm as a reminder to me tha his time is up instead of running to the loo every thirty mins to check the time.

How do you girls keep the time?

I have a (small) very quiet alarm clock half hidden behind a candle on top of the chest of drawers in the bedroom,it helps me keep track without being screamingly obvious.

I know some ladies seem to manage on an 'internal' alarm clock but i haven't yet been able to master the art.

If its an outcall i always pray there will be a clock of some description in the room,if there isn't i might ask the client for the time if i feel times ticking on,otherwise my driver hammering loudly on the front door would be a not so pleasent way of ending the appointment!

I read Bruna's book and apparently she could tell with the CD, i must say, so far the CD gives a good time more or less. It can last for about an hr (17 songs)

That's a really good idea (unless you like Pink Floyd or Slipknot ;D)

I think even I could throw together a CD of 'suitable' background music and make sure it lasted an hour (or near as poss). I'm off to rummage in my itunes.......
