CIM in my opinion is just plain dangerous, I've been guilty of i when I first started out but after much research i've changed my policy to Oral with (for punters who've seen me before the policy change its still oral without but i do not and will not do CIM..
you can contract something from a  man's sperm, it would be even worse if God forbid there's blood in his sperm.

If you do OWO then CIM doesn't really raise the risk of STIs as it is not the sperm, but the seminal fluid, which carries the viruses and bacteria and that is produced long before the point of orgasm, so it wouldn't matter if you swallow or not - best protection is of  course to use a condom.
Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the ground in the morning, Satan shudders and says: "Oh shit, she's awake!"

But you still do oral without with your regular punters. In that case it's just as dangerous doing that as it is doing CIM. Just as it is doing reverse oral, then allowing him to kiss you.
Just because you no longer provide CIM it doesn't mean you're safer than those that do. All these services carry a degree of risk. If you don't allow oral without at all (which you do), don't do reverse oral, or don't allow kissing, then brilliant. Otherwise what you do carries a certain degree of risk as I said, just as CIM does. That same research should tell you that.

Cassie is spot on - The sperm itself does not carry bacteria or viruses related to std's. Viral and bacterial infections are transmitted via seminal fluid which includes pre-come, so you come into contact with it if you perform owo regardless of whether you offer cim or not. While the rate of infection by oral sex is significantly lower than sexual intercourse without protection (which duh, you should never ever do) it is not entirely without risk- and the figures and statistics are still dubious as point of origin is difficult to establish apart from herpes and gonorrhea. There's no such thing as safe sex really, it's just safeR sex.

yep...so if we do oral without, we might as well do CIM (if you choose to do that).

you can contract something from a  man's sperm, it would be even worse if God forbid there's blood in his sperm.

thats funny...so if you can contract something from semen, would it even matter if there was blood or not? technically, semen is blood. blood is not worse than semen. Its the same thing.

In addition, why would there be blood in semen  ???

Most of the time it's no cause for alarm. Some guys have a tendency to cum very forcefully and therefore burst a bloodvessel or two. But a couple of STIs do manifest themselves in this way, such as chlamydia or gonorrhea. Or god forbid, prostate cancer. So if a guy does bleed it's always best to get himself checked out.

But as Cassie states, the most dangerous part of the semen is actually the pre-cum. You can't state that you categorically do not offer CIM, yet still offer OWO to regular customers. It makes little sense as the risks are still there.

Since we're on the subject...

What are the[unofficial] stats for the prevalence of STIs among escorts?  I'm less concerned about the ones that will go away after a round of antibiotics than I am about something like herpes, which you're stuck with for life.

And... why are we doing OWO if there is a significant(?) risk of STIs?  I've heard arguments for both sides of the coin - that OWO is not that risky and that it's extremely risky.

Honestly, I don't know who to believe - the health professionals who tell me to cover up for everything or other escorts who tell me that they've worked for years with nary a problem (except one who owned up to having caught crabs a few years back :o).  The more I work the more comfortable I am with OWO and CIM - a month ago I thought I'd never do either but now I do both and will continue to do so.

I'd love it if you can cite the research you've done (those of you who have mentioned it) so others can follow up if they want more info. :)

Later,
cece

I asked this at my GUM visit, and was informed that the STD prevalence among professional escorts is very low- mostly related to the fact that once making a decision to go 'pro' we tend to arm ourselves with information. The highest prevalence according to her was among young women who go out getting bladdered and the amateur escorts who offer BB or who don't even advertise but instead do it for dinner/bills paid etc.

I'm going to be coming back to this point tomorrow or so armed with my research- so will formulate a better response then xx

I haven't been convinced that it's extremely risky, and that's coming from someone who doesn't do it. You do need to avoid doing it when you have open wounds in your mouth though, which means not brushing your teeth before or after and abstaining if you have an ulcer or something.

The risks are mostly of catching things that will go away with antibiotics (be sure to have regular throat swabs). You can get herpes and HPV in your throat though, and HPV has a small chance of causing cancer.

That's what I thought.  I keep on top of testing - once every 6 to 8 weeks at the mo.

hi all

i just read the posts,
i personally don't offer it at the moment, and i myself don't know whether or not it is to be considered risky or not,

so far i know the medical profession is not sure whether it be have any risk or much risk, however i think as long as there is no wounds in the gum,
so i would discourage to brush your teeth before due that causes some bleeding, wounds on the gum
also so far i have heard swallowing the cum, is relatively safe due the acid of your stomach kills all the virus and bacteria, i think once i read it was even recommended when doing oral and the men cums in your mouth to straight and quickly swallow it, to reduce the risk, and exposure to the gum and to kill the bacterias as soon as possible with the acid in your digesting system (thats what i recall)

anyhow i have done some research in the past and i couldnt get to a conclusion due one article said it is safe, or very low risk and another said it is serious risk

i do like the taste of cum and would love to offer it, however i am to insecure whether or not it has or what danger it has

I offer owo but i dont offer cim.  its not the taste or the risks (i looked in to those before i decided to do owo)  its the sensation and the texture.  makes me gag thinking about it so i will stick with owo.
