I have a client who would like me to wear gym knickers during our meet - the very thick, lycra, high waisted bottle green kind that (when I was young) girls used to be made to wear under a netball skirt for PE lessons.

Not having any children I don't know - but I assume these are not part of school sports kit any more!

Anyone know any high street retailers that still stock these? I need them by tomorrow afternoon so online shopping isn't really an option.

Cheers LittleMiss, there is a big Tescos quite near to me so I shall give that a go. Now all I have to do is stop myself having traumatic flashbacks to school PE lessons 

John Lewis and certain other dept stores school uniform departments, a lot of particularly private schools still have girls wear them up to age 18 so they'll probably have a range of sizes (although you may look a little odd trying them on!)

Oh really? I assumed that this type of PE kit had been got rid of years ago...that's interesting that it's still around.

Thanks for that and I'll go have a look tomorrow. I doubt they'll have any that fit me properly, might just have to go for buying a large and hoping for the best! I suppose they are stretchy after all so fingers crossed 

A little pricey but I found some genuine ones at Harrods in their school uniform section a few years ago. Before my working days as they were for private play, but they might be worth a shot. They provide uniforms for a lot of Public Schools.
