Client asked if he could use poppers?
« on: 26 November 2013, 08:51:15 am »
Hi,

As i am new to this just checking i did the right thing. A guy phoned earlier to make appointment for tomorrow, at the end of the conversation he said is it ok to use poppers, i said what are they, and he said a drug you can buy in Ann Summers. I said no sorry. He said he would still like the booking.
Also i asked him if he said seen my website he said naaahhh i dont need to just seen your ad online (like he wasnt intrested to know about what i offer etc).

I googled Poppers as i had never heard of them.  My question is, was i right to say no? and what if he sniffs it before he comes in my house and then gets ill? I'm wondering if i should cancel booking all together? I cant cope with vomit in my house!  >:(

Sorry if i sound naeive,

India

say no I watched a program yesterday it has a link to serious illness and is dangerous for you health  wont post  the link here but people feel free to inbox be for link.. or google it
It pointed out at the height of the aids epidemic gay men were using this on a frequent regular basis and it was found to cause serious health problems you may not be taking it yourself (well hope your not) but the long term health problems it can cause I would avoid encouraging people to use it..

well you could tell the client that you prefer him not to use it ....poppers is poison not something you want spilled it stinks and really its a bit like GHB but lasts for a few seconds I would not advise you to use it chic it had some horrible side effects and can cause health issues.I place poppers under the same list as drugs its a no no but its your choice if you see him..try contacting him and saying your not comfortable with him using it..see what he says

It's a solvent, some people feel sexy after inhaling it, the effects last a couple of minutes and you definitely don't want it spilled.

A search here will tell you more (and why you probably don't want to try them yourself) but you should be fine with this one - poppers are taken for a rush NOW, rather than ahead of time, because it's a very short-lived effect.

If you're going to not see him, do it on the basis of..

naaahhh i dont need to just seen your ad online (like he wasnt intrested to know about what i offer etc).

.. this if you think there are going to be issues as a result.

I am so glad this topic came up. I had client who said "I am just gonna take some poppers" and I guess he could tell by my face I was clueless and responded "Have you never tried them?". Of course, my answer was NO, and he explained to me that it "heightens the sensation" or something to that effect - but I started to freak out a little (inside) when I saw him inhale this little bottle. I am not experience when it comes to drugs so I wasn't sure if he was going to turn funny.

Luckily all was alright in the end but for me I was very uncomfortable

They can make your heart rate go crazily high, even if you're just in the same room as an open bottle. I refuse to see clients on non prescription drugs, and even make a point of specifying poppers on my profile. Yes some inhalants are sold in Ann summers, but you'd probably find that most clients get them on the black market as the shop bought ones aren't very strong. The ones they're likely to have bought will probably not be regulated, so if you did have an adverse reaction then it'd make treating you complicated, plus you don't want to be in a situation where you'd require medical help on an escort booking anyway!

Poppers are still quite popular with gay men. A lot of my clients use them. Never seen anyone get anything worse than a headache from them but it does sometimes make them a bit grabby and over excited and gives them a short attention span. I've tried them and the effect is a rush and does heighten sensation but the sudden dizzy feeling is brain cells dying so not recommended.

I dont allow clients to use them as they give me a raging  headache, just the smell of it on their nose sets me off.  If they spill it on you it can burn the skin.

I also find it causes them to get an instant floppy cock when they sniff it.  So it does make my job harder as i had found the moment they feel its climax time they reach for the poppers.

Back in my hedonistic days I used to take it to give an extra ooomph to my extra curricular activities and I remember them being passed round school. Quite frankly I find them to be over rated it just gives you a head rush like when you stand up too quickly. Personally I would say that I would allow the person to use them in their own home but refrain from using myself. If I was in an incall I would say no. I have once had this spilt down my dress at a party and I nearly passed out before I got to the bedroom to put on some spare clothes!

Thankyou everyone for your answers. I have cancelled the booking, i dont feel right about it with him suggesting the poppers. Maybe he takes other stuff.  I have never taken any drugs and am clueless about them, and if they stink as mentioned, i dont want my landlord to find out. Better safe than sorry  :)

Poppers are pretty harmless - it's not like taking coke or heroin (IMO) the worse that will happen is that you will get a headache from the smell of them  and your clients lips will go a bit blue   It can cause an increase in heart rate and they smell horrible

I have a lot of clients that  like to use them so I alwa have half a dozen or so bottles in my flat and I always take some on tour with me

I don't like them and wouldnt use them personally but for a hundred and thirty quid an hour I can put up with the smell
I alway put it on tissue and make them inhale it that way as its more if a rush  its a bit of a stop  start process though in most appointments

But If its any consultation I'felt the same as you when a client first whipped them out of his bag

The biggest health issue is the use with erection drugs: both lower blood pressure, and the combination can be fatal.

Supply is also illegal - one of the royal colleges (pharmacists?) successfully had one shop prosecuted - and if something does go wrong and a client dies / is burnt / passes out and hits their head on something, you really don't want to be the person who supplied them.

I think they sell them /advertise them now as room odourisers  ( i don't buy them btw ) i just have loads of them floating  around  because clients often leave them behind.  One client that i see twice a  week generally  when I'm in Bristol brings  1 -2  bottle of the stuff  and leave its behind so i seem to have a massive collection of Old English and other stuff
