Hi everyone,

For ladies that use adultwork, is there a way that you can have a profile temporarily down without deleting it altogether? Ive seen there are girls that seem to be on there and then disappear altogether for a few weeks, and their profile is gone, then they reappear with the same profile/feedbacks etc a few weeks or so later?

Id like a few weeks break from aw and id really just like to ''suspend'' my profile for that period of time, and then have it up again in a few weeks time, but i have no idea how you do this. Ive only seen the ''remove me'' tab that u click but that totally deletes your profile which i dont want to do. if anyone knows how please let me know....so when people search for your profile it looks like you are not there etc... then u can just re activate when u are ready

Also, what foundation does everyone wear for bookings? Ive used a few liquid ones but they all come off so quick and my face is this awful mess when i leave the client lol...so far my best one has been mac's studio tech but was wondering if anyone had more longer lasting ones they use for work that still look good after a few hours bookings!

I think you can take your profile down and put it back up within a month without anything being affected - I assume you just select 'Remove profile' or something similar and provided you don't keep it off for any longer it can just be set to show again. I haven't done it myself so I don't know for sure, but I have heard this from someone else who has. We get new ladies popping up here now and again and disappearing just as quick, but it's usually just because they have changed the postcode; if you search for the username they have just gone to a different area (which I would think at least a few of the ones you mention).

I can't help you with the foundation because I don't wear it, but didn't Max Factor advertise one that didn't come off a while back? I wear very little makeup for bookings unless I'm specifically asked to, for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

I can speak to the foundation question - there isn't really one that will stay on. I'm fairly certain the long-wearing formulas are not tested against stubble on men's cheeks and groins.

Seriously, i use M.A.C too and I just keep the bottle with me and reapply a little around my mouth and nose after a booking. The powder foundation is good for a quick touch-up if you don't want to travel with a liquid foundation.

Mac Studio Tech or Studio Fix is a good one, and you can touch it up easily.

I wear concealer and use Benefit tint on the cheeks and lips, it's a stain that doesn't come off so even if you get up to all sorts of stubble-y goodness it won't come off. Waterproof mascara is a must, especially if you enjoy a nice shared shower. A bit of splash back and I am Gene Simmons.

Yves Saint Laurant perfect touch foundation. I dont like it much for day to day wear, its a bit too thick for me but it is really good for work. Day to day I wear Clinique becasue its so light.

I always take my make up with me so i can touch up, especially on the longer bookings but this stuff seem to not need too much help. Actually i tend to take makeup everywhere i go... i bloody love the stuff lol

Totally agree on the waterproof mascara. Top tip evie!!!

I think the AW profile ,you just delete and like Amy says it gives you the option of going back within a month. i know its a difficult site to maneuver around and i could never remember which page anything was on.
Makeup, Revlon do a range called vital radiance ,its an American range , and i get it from "Poundland"!! they do all sorts of light cover foundations and clear mascaras, cheek stains, etc . It stays on through most conditions!

I use Mac too, the best way I've figured to keep it on is just by using a good powder on top! My favourite is Rimmel.

Maybe with AW it's best to keep your profile up and state on it that you are on holiday? If you take your phone number off you won't be pestered however you will still recieve some emails which may turn into bookings when you return

Not really sure why I'm posting as I don't have an answer to either question. Still getting used to AW and don't really wear make up apart from a little mineral face powder and lipgloss and sometimes eyeshadow. Which all just dissapears within an hour or two regardless what I do, so don't bother too much. $:-\$

Thanks everyone i dont think i could go without my make up either but it always looks such a mess after no matter how ''unenergetic'' the booking may be....oh well i guess i will stick to my mac compact for now or maybe look into a powder foundation, thank u everyone

Eyeliner, mascara, foundation, blush, eyeshadow, eyebrow pencil, lippy..... i couldnt live without make up. I'm not so bad that i cant go to the shop without it, if a client called and asked me not to wear any i could do that... but i would have to dye my eyelashes the night before hahaha

I make-up with very natural tones - to enhance rather than scare, which is a million miles away from the bright colours I wore when I was younger. I find Rimmel medicated concealer works best with a little Clinique Superbalanced foundation and minimum power.

Remember less is usually more.
