Advertising with free websites
« on: 14 July 2009, 01:24:44 pm »
I'm in the process of building myself a moonfruit website (a long slow process) and as I'm a bit of a beginner with such things i was wondering which listing sites are happy to feature escorts with free websites?
I looked on ukbelles but it mentioned that it doesn't feature escorts whose websites are on 'free' webspace,is that the same thing?

I know i sound thick but I'm genuinely puzzled :-[

Yes, the webmaster's funny like that. He won't list free websites.

Are there a lot of escorts listed on UK belles in your area?  There's practically none in my area, so I decided not to bother with it or a paid site. I'm not dissing it, but I don't think it's of much use to me personally.  Punterlink doesn't have a problem with free sites, nor do most other places.  You could always just fork out later.

Colette

The guys who did our site who are amazing are apparently launching indie sites in the next couple of months  I think they are going to be ?300 a year but you have an admin panel you can upload photos content etc and are UK hosted too so much more visable in the search engines you also get your own domain name also you are in control of all your site and content.

Sorry to sound like an advert but I know a lot of dodgy web designers and I am very impressed by these guys portfolio and work

You can get a moonfruit site where you pay a small amount each month to not have those pesky ads on your site. Not all moonfruit is free.
Or contact the webmistress at MiraDesign. She's easy on the pocket and she's done some blinding work. She looks after my site and also hosts Saafe for me.

UKBelles is actually quite brilliant for Google ratings. When I enter keywords pertaining to me, I consistently come up in the top three on the first page under their directory. So I personally think it's worth being listed.

UKBelles isn't always that great. Personally I don't think I've ever come across my page there while searching, and I get less than one hit a day from the site. I'd still say it's worth getting a proper website done from the start though. You'll probably want to upgrade fairly soon anyway, and since you can get a professional website done pretty cheaply, you might as well do that and save yourself the hassle.

I would also highly recommend miradesign who has done my site and many others I know of.

The service is exceptional and she will work with you to build you a site you are totally happy with and her fees are extremely good.  Worth considering I think and money well spent.  I get much work from UK Belles and the way I see it, is paying once for a site has paid for itself in just one booking alone.  (Don't know if that last line makes sense am typing this with eyes half closing!).

I think I'm going to go with having a professional website done. Have been in touch with Miradesign, their sites look fab and there prices are a steal quite frankly.

On a completely different note i got in touch with one listings site and they said they would be happy to feature me but i should change my name as it wasn't 'catchy' enough (i call myself Kitty for my indie work)

So any suggestions for a more catchy name appreciated,Bambi big knockers boom boom is my current frontrunner ;D

Funnily enough its a man who runs that particular site, hmmmmm

Ive got flu at the minute and stuck in house, this is all a result of having too much time on my hands. :-[

Tell him to sod off. All you're asking is to be listed on his directory in return, I take it, for a link on your site. You're not asking for his opinion on anything. Whether or not he likes your working name is beside the point. That's the second time you've mentioned a bloke suggested you change your name. What is it with these men and their thinking that they know more than you about shagging for a living?

If Colette is your working name, I'd keep it, it's beautiful and unique.

Well his name is James (although i would bet its not his real name) so i was very tempted to send him a reply email telling him to change it cos its a bit ordinary :D

Yes i really like Collette but i also work through an agency under that name and Ive had too many clients cotton on to the fact that I'm the same girl! Even though i use separate pictures for my agency and indie work etc they were still working it out.
I even had a client last week make a private incall booking which he cancelled at last minute, then a few days later i had a text off him asking for another booking. When i replied he answered me by saying that it was OK as he had booked through my agency instead (he had given me no prior indication that he knew i worked for an agency)

So i told him to ring the agency back and cancel his appointment as there was no way i wanted to see him anymore and also how dare he mess me about contacting me directly and then book through my agency!
He did as he was told,so he would have saved a whole ?10 if he had seen me through my agency but he ended up not seeing me at all, served him right i think.

But it is a nightmare,i don't know what to do for the best sometimes.

HAH! I'm home with flu too but now I feel very much cheered up that you told that silly sod to bugger off. He can go wank himself off with that ?10 note if it's so important to him. ;D

Yes,the best bit was i told him if he didnt ring the agency and cancel i would do it for him. I then rang the agency anyway to make sure and they told me had cancelled and told them that i was 'mad with him and didnt want to see him anymore' ;D

www.webs.com

Free, easy, step by step design etc. They can even register a domain name very very cheap.

I designed my website through them and quite a few US escorts are hosted by them too. They have no problem with adult content sites.

Thier Terms of service say

You agree that you will not originate any Content that may be described in any part by any of the following descriptions:

"Adult", pornographic, obscene, nude, graphically violent, and other inappropriate Content
Offers for or the solicitation of prostitution, erotic, or sexual services

so while they have no problem now, personally i would be a bit wary
