A new article - Scam Agencies
« on: 22 September 2008, 07:00:59 pm »
As it seems to be more and more prevalent that scam agencies are out there doing their best to scam people out of there hard-earned money, I've asked Ani-Mae to rewrite her previous post into a more permanent article, with an addition to incorporating a little of XW5's points.

All newbies, ladies coming into this profession for the first time, please take some time to read it.

hi i was just wondering if any you guys have heard of an agency called:

http://www.male-escort-services.co.uk/

i filled in the information form last friday including my mobile number....

on monday morning i recieved a txt message from Dawn from male escort services, stating that she had secured a female cilent for me on monday 6th october at 8:30pm in a hotel in belfast TBC...and that it was a 3hour session earning me ?300...and that i was to charge the cilnet an additional ?100 per hour...

the next txt message i recieved about half an hour later, expalined that in order to secure the booking with "sarah" I wud have to pay ?50 into a Barcelys account...then i would recieve full details of the ciltent sarah...

i have been txting dawn from male escort services, everyday since monday...and she always replies...but i just think its to good to be true....im a good looking fella lol....but i just cant see no woman paying for my company...

what do u guys think...im so so tempted...but i know, sumthing will happen...and "sarah" the cilent will not turn up

its terrible the way they play with peoples emotions

http://www.male-escort-services.co.uk/

i would be extremly grateful for any advice on the matter...

and sorry for posting...incase this is just for female escorts, but i didnt see it written anywhere, that males were unwelcome here

...not used to typing in pink font lol....but its cool

cheers....Brian from Belfast

There's no reason that they'd need to take money from you to secure the booking. It's a scam like all the others.

Edit: I've looked at the page now. They say they only make money from commissions, so they're asking you to pay the commission in advance. This is nonsense, even in the world of real escorting, there are times when a booking falls through or you turn up and the client refuses to pay. As an escort, you can't count on any money that isn't already in your hand and you certainly don't give any of it to someone else before you have it yourself.

thank you for the reply akina

"dawn" the girl from the agency who has been txting me for the last 4days...has told me. the ?50 i have to pay is to ensure i am not bogus and that i fully intend to work as a male escort...and that it is fully refundable....after my first meeting with sarah, my cilent...the only money i need to pay out after that...is ?50 for every client the agency supplies to me...im just totally unsure about the whole thing...but it is just so convincing....

she told me in a txt this morning...that the business has been running for 4 years...so i txt her back saying the company must be well-known and well-established....

i just dont know wat to do

but ur advice is greatly welcome

Taken from their website: "we have a minimum booking time of 3 hours which is now the industry standard.."

That's a new one on me. ???

Tell her that you understand her concerns, but you have trust issues yourself since there are so many stories of people handing over money and not getting anything for it. Ask her to give you a list of places she advertises, so you can see them yourself. She should be paying for adverts that will bring clients to you (not just ads that will bring her more escorts), otherwise what are you paying her ?50 a booking for?

that defintely makes sense akina

i just sent her a txt message, asking her if she would be advertsing me as an escort...and if so where?

also i asked her to ring me, and this is what she sent back

quote from "dawn's" txt message to me

"hi, we dont have a phone number, for escorts to use, however we do conduct all our bookings with our cilents over the phone.  The reason we had to stop using the phone service for the escorts is because some were using it as a place to have long chats, the phone lines were getitng blocked, and we lost bookings.  However, please feel free to txt 24/7 and we will respond to you immedialtely"

every txt message ends Thanks Dawn....

and she always does seem to reply

Text also makes it easier to ignore your questions! Ask again, how does she find clients? If they have ads that clients can find, you'll be able to find them too. If she says they have loads of clients on their books and they have to concentrate on recruiting male escorts to cater to the demand that's a loads of bollocks, but if it were true it would mean she needs you more than you need her, and she should stop acting like a scammer and putting you off.

il send her another txt message here, asking her how does she find clients....but i assume, she will just say through the website...

shes not replied to the last message i sent...so technically, she has still not told me, she is actually advertsing me...it all just seems so fake akina...

but im totally in unchattered water here...glad to be in the company of people who know the industry and know what they are talking about

"Through the website" isn't good enough. How do they find the website? If she's not encouraging women to go there somehow (and she'll have to target a lot of women to get a few customers), they won't even know about the website, never mind book you.

There's no doubt in my mind that it's a scam, but there seems to be some in yours so I'm just giving you things to think about.

no akina...she still has not told me, she advertises me through the website

im still waiting on her reply

tbh...when i first recieved a txt message from her...telling me, she has secured a client for me earning me ?300...i immedialtely sent her a txt message back, saying

"is this a con"

so ive been thinking since day1...but u have certainly give me some good ammuniation to fire at her...ty again

she said in the first txt message i recieved "the cilents name is sarah and she is a regular user, and we have RECCOMMENDED YOU TO HER for this job"

the second message read
"in order to proceed with the booking we do require a fully refundable deposit of ?50, this will be teturned to you from your first commision.  This fee is a necessary security measure for us to deter bogus applications (online application) ...after the booking our commission is due which is ?50 per booking...all bookings to be made at any barclays branch, account name: quintroduct,,,,sort 207348... account  43742776

hell, she dont even know if im over 18 lol

Lol...it's not for me to take offence. It was funny seeing you call her Akina in every post.
I wasn't sure whether or not you were dyslexic. :)
