Hi all, my name is Emma and I'm an Assistant Producer at Back2back Productions, an award winning documentary filmmaker based in Brighton. After reading through the Firecracker post, and its responses, in this forum I thought long and hard about posting this message.

I understand that people are very wary about the media, and presume we are always trying to recruit people to humiliate on TV ? this business hasn?t exactly built itself a reliable and trustworthy name. So all I can do is hope that if you are reading this message, you will continue to do so with an open mind. I?m also always up for a chat, so any and all responses are welcome!

Back2back are currently working on a new documentary for Channel 4 about women who work in the webcam industry. This project will be a thoughtful and positive look at an industry which is widely misunderstood, with which we hope to dispel myths and break any stigma surrounding it.

I am currently searching for strong and interesting women who webcam to take part, and I have discovered during my research that, for many women in the adult industry, webcamming and escorting go hand in hand. So here I am, hoping to get the word out about my search?

Clean in content, with a light-hearted and warm tone, the documentary will get to know the women behind the webcams. First and foremost, we want to focus on our contributors as people, followed up by the industry they work in; challenging those preconceptions that we all know exist.

We?d love to hear from women with an interesting story to tell, and who may have catered for the more unusual or humorous things that are requested via the internet. We are very keen to meet successful women who have lots of other interests besides webcamming and who, most importantly, have made an intended decision to embrace the world of the web, improving their successes even more by doing so.

If you are interested, intrigued, or would just like to know more, I would absolutely love to chat to you about this positive and empowering documentary. You can contact me on emma.stamp@back2back.tv, or on 01273 222652.

This documentary follows the success of our recent Channel 4 production, ?My Phone Sex Secrets,? which can still be viewed online at http://www.channel4.com/programmes/my-phone-sex-secrets/4od.

Back2back Productions create challenging and thought-provoking documentaries; our website can be viewed at www.back2back.tv. Our contributors? comfort and privacy is very important to us, and we pride ourselves on handling sensitive subjects with compassion and discretion.

Thank you so much for reading. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed...

And how much do you charge for the hour? My usual rate is 300 for my time.  Also: If you're planing to show my face I'm going to need a huge fat check for the inconveniences of exposing me to the world (that includes: friends, family, landlord and neighbours). I mean: My should I pay for your T.V executive boss penthouse or his wife's botox and gain nothing?

Me thinks you would have a better response with porn producers/companies as those women pursuing a career in porn have no problem (au contraire) with public exposure and would love the extra exposure that a program like yours would give them.

My phone sex secrets was crap though! It wasn't true to life at all!

So as a professional webcam performer, some one who is payed by the minute.... as others have said: what's in it for me?

Or are you expecting these witty, diverse success stories for nothing? That sounds like a great business model - from your end.

In webcamming there is a 'kick' button for freebie hunters.

I thought My Phone Sex Secrets was good... I actually still think about that doc sometimes as I wouldn't mind giving phone sex a go, but haven't made the leap yet. So if a webcamming one is on the way I'd look forward to watching that too.

But yeah it's not clear whether this is voluntary, compensated..?

My phone sex secrets might have seemed good entertainment, but don't for one minute think it was true to life and you'd make the money that was claimed on it.

Exactly. It was not a documentary, ie true to life, it was entertainment.

I thought it was amusing, light-hearted and interesting... I can't comment about the earnings as I've never done it. No doubt it was edited for entertainment and didn't cover/include all aspects but I can't see that it portrayed anyone or the industry in a purposefully negative way.
