Almost nothing. This is the European Parliament saying 'we think...' rather than passing any law. Lots of them won't be MEPs after the June elections either.

The main things to look at are

a) How your MEP(s) voted - in the UK, each area has several. You can vote accordingly in June.

b) The number of abstentions - there are lots of MEPs who don't want to be seen to vote against this. Write to some of them.

Was Honeyball the MEP whose arguments were demolished by Belinda Brooks-Gordon on Woman's Hour a few weeks ago?

Yes unfortunately BBG isn't an MEP, she's a candidate this year though. She's a thoroughly nice woman.

She is Lib Dem candidate. They will be lucky if they have any MEPs after the election.

I would be surprised if there were fewer than two LibDem MEPs after June.

Sadly, she's not going to be one of them, being third on the list for Eastern England when they will be very lucky to get one there.
