I got this earlier:
Hello Amy,
My names Clare and I?m an assistant producer for ITV. My reason for contacting you is that I?m currently working on documentary style programme about the Sex Industry and was hoping you may consider taking part?
The aim of this programme is to explore the motivations and reasons why people enter sex work and the realities of working as a prostitute, escort and Porn actress/actor in the industry.
We have had a large response already but are hoping to speak to an even wide variety of contributors with varying stances on the subject matter. We feel it?s essential to strike an even balance between pro and anti stances and are committed to doing this by interviewing as many people as possible.
I would love to have a chat with you about your experiences and find out what your advice would be to somebody wanting to get into the industry. Also whether you anybody who is an escort who would be willing to talk with us.
I hope you are able to help and I look forward to hearing from you, there is no obligation to take part. Please either e-mail me you contact number or call me on 0161 952 0759. If you?ve already received an e-mail from ITV about this then please ignore and sorry to have e-mailed again we have a number of researchers working on this project.
Regards
Clare
I like the idea of getting an opportunity to put our point across, but the email address attached and phone number point to the lady being an Assistant Producer for ITV Daytime - I'm not familiar with Daytime TV (or ITV) but cannot imagine that it will be possible to make a comprehensive documentary about our work that would be suitable to run before the watershed, and while I am tempted to answer (and I enjoyed having a chat with the lady who was doing the article on Sex and Disability the other week) I have a feeling that this one is a non-starter. Anybody know any more about it?
