Escorting is quickly becoming a career path for me.

I have been thinking about what I could do to make this a successful business.

I have established  how many clients I need a week or hours of work, to reach the targets I have in mind. As I have worked out an average of clients over the months and made realistic targets from these findings.


What I would like to know is how to make sure I have a good steady amount of clients, advice on getting regulars, whether working with agencies and being independent is a good way to secure enough clients.

I would just like to ask how to be a successful escort, as far as I know unfortunately there are no books out there or' how to guides' on this topic. However, if anyone knows one by all means advice away!

I kept myself up to date with news, I travel, read, I am always well presented, fit and discreet. I am currently with two agencies but I'm also thinking about advertising as an indie to secure more work. I am averaging 3 clients a day and I work 3 days a week.

Ideally I would like just a bit more clientele than that, perhaps 4 clients a day, or at least not to have days such as yesterday where I only had one client, which only covered the hotel cost of the day.

Sorry if there is a thread already regarding this topic some where. If there is can I please be directed there? I did perform a search but could not find anything on this topic.

I think the one thing we need is flexibility if we work towards targets.
I have a weekly target and although I say that it'd like 2 overnights a week, sometimes it doesn't happen and I have to make up the difference with shorter bookings. Take the work when you can. Nothing is ever guaranteed so if you are strict about only working Mon - Fri you may lose out if it's a slow week and a busy weekend.

And I'm not sure (someone can correct me as I've never been agency) but don't they frown upon people being indie on the side?

If you're not already advertising as an indy, why are you paying for hotel rooms? Or have I misunderstood?

I always work 5 days a week and sometimes 6 and 7 days a week if I haven't got any social plans at the weekend and I have a realistic target of 2 clients a day (which I always, always get) and have a limit of 3!

If you have a financial target then try and stick to it then move on, I'm working longer than I had planned because I wasted the first 2 years touring constantly and wasting so much money on expenses, I've never had it in me to see loads of guys in a day to make it worth my while!

I personally think any more than 3 would burn you out but that's just my opinion but then again if your only part time then if you can manage more....fair enough but I would start to feel sore and drained after 3 which would mean I couldn't offer the best I can!

Treat it like a proper job and proper business, go to bed at a normal time and wake up at a normal time. I set my first alarm at 7 and my second one for 7.30! I think lying in your bed till lunchtime is just a wasted day and I hear lots of girls do that!

I have set hours on my profile that I update every Sunday and I take my first client at 10am!

Be reliable unless of an actual emergency obviously!

Have an honest profile, only thing on my profile that's untrue is my age so that I show up on most searches but I have my real age in my FAQ's!

Don't be flakey!

Always be fresh and clean (So many just do back to back bookings without washing).

Always have loads of condoms, lube, wipes etc!

Work from somewhere safe and discreet!

Treat your clients well and with the utmost respect as I do with my clients although I admit I have zero tolerance and zero time for idiots so I have been known in the past to have a bad attitude although I'm not really caring what the idiots think of me, my clients are what's important to me. This is the sex industry and there are far more idiots than there are decent guys contact me hence having no time for them!

Always be uber friendly and bubbly cause even the idiots like to feel like they are fucking a person and not a robot!

Don't clock watch or rush your clients but obviously don't let people take the piss either!

Make sure your apartment and bathroom is spotless and that your clients have clean towels, toiletries etc!

Offer drinks and make them feel welcome in your place!

Have good communication!

Register for inland revenue!

Have safety measures in place!

Have a diary and write everything down so your organised, I couldn't do without mine!

Get good reviews and feedback as best you can, you'll never be able to please everyone though but reputation these days no matter what business your in is essential with online reviews!

Obviously not in that order, just things coming into my mind as I say them, if I think of other stuff....I will add to the list.

Fantastic advice, thank you for this. I have tried to expect all the work to come in on allocated days but I found extending to 3 days should help and yes even considered working over a period of more days.

The agencies I'm with were happy for me to also be independent but they assured me I would get enough work through them so I decided against it.

Taking the work when I can is sound advice.

You are quite right, more than 3 can be difficult but as I only work 2 days it is manageable and it keeps me busy. Extending my working week to 3 days has meant I only need 3 clients and well that is much better than just being manageable and you can offer the best you can - not rushed etc

Yes, depending on your personal situation, other commitments etc., I'd say flexibility is key. I'm lucky in that I work from home so can potentially work most times, and I think that is a big help. It's all very well having goals and targets, but meeting them can be another matter.

Personally, I'd say boundless reserves of patience are a useful trait, plus the ability to not get wound up by timewasters (something I struggle with...) Otherwise, just being practically prepared, friendly, welcoming etc., and screen, screen, screen!

It's good to have targets and to push yourself but keep in mind that burnout is much more likely to creep up on you if/when you're over worked (or in some cases you might just need a break, regardless of the numbers) and you'll end up having to take time out to recover.
Recently I had some financial targets I was eager to meet so I overworked myself to the point where I wasn't enjoying my work anymore, so I ended up having a month off. Now I try and stick to a  2-3 clients a day, if I'd done that in the first place I'd have been better off than earning a big wage for 2 weeks,  but then nothing for a month whilst I recovered.
So my advice is to pace yourself, and don't push yourself too hard. Turn your work phone off when you're not working, that way your time stays as yours!

Im trying to start doing more incall days and tours, but they will all be Wednesday to Friday, yes I am probably losing out but I dont want to be working 24/7, plus workable hotels are limited where I am.

My tips are.

Dont try to be available all day every day, as you cant please everyone and will only burn yourself out.

Be a good actress (even if it's as simple as not cringing when you get someone you wouldnt normally have sex with).

Be polite even when they are arseholes  ;D

Charge what you believe you are worth, dont worry what everyone else is charging.

Keep your ads updated.

Have security measures in place.

Always get the money first.

Dont be afraid to stop a booking.

Wear what you are comfortable in.

Oh and if your going to be advertising on AW, you need to update your profile even if it means adding a full stop somewhere to put you back to the top of the list, I try to update mine as often as possible but usually only manage maybe 4 or 5 times a day x

Lol! Just a reminder though, cash and cash only:) I'm thinking about those few girls here who had the very bad idea of accepting bank transfers (warnings section). So cash and upfront. And a good reliable security buddy of course.

As to the no sense of smell... I just put things into my FAQs. Shower, bareback, smoking, outfits, my hours... I try to anticipate and put things into my FAQs. Well of course I know perfectly well that most of them won't read anyway but hey...!
