Now I love cherries, they are I have to say my ALL time favorite fruit. So today, whilst out and about I came across some Morel Cherries! They are sour as hell, after making a sour face after trying one, the lovely lady in the store kindly told me they are better in jams and compotes than for eating. So, an idea started to form, well to make a long story short, I ended up buying about 1.5kg, some jam sugar, jars, a de-pitter, and off I went. Well, it is the first time I ever tried something like this, so I will see how it all goes. I now have 4 half litter jars sitting and waiting to cool down. This is on top of the homemade pumpkin soup, and rack of lamb I am cooking for dinner tonight. I think I need to go back on tour, I am becoming far to domesticated, next thing you know I will be raising chickens for eggs, and curing my own ham!
