For some reason, I don't like "escort." I'm sitting in a flat. I barely even do outcall. I'm not escorting anyone anywhere. I think of myself as a hooker or a ho. "Ho" was absolutely used when I lived in California, but then we were not far from the hood and a lot of the girls had gang banger boyfriends and we truly did talk in rap/gansta slang. I sometimes still do. So, we'd call ourselves and one another "ho's" when talking amongst ourselves. The more polite word was "provider" - that's what we'd say on the Internet, anyway.

I prefer Hooker. Because that's what I do. Get the guys hooked on hookers. It's so perfectly descriptive of what it's all about.

I think when I have told people I am a escort I get a much better reaction and It had been more accepted by friends.

I had no idea what the industry was really like till I got into it (duh) so words like hooker and whore struck out to me as negative words. Its still hard to get my head around! I have always been taught it was a bad thing but I am doing it and I have really really enjoyed myself so I have had to retrain my brain a bit!

I had a guy say to me while having sex 'you are a good whore' I almost slapped him! but I didn't react as he said it in a nice way he was a gent and I knew he was complimenting me and trying to sound dirrdy at the same time.

If you make it good for them they love it.

Like you said, it turns out to be quite different to what you expect. It's the same for the guys. If they don't have anyone in their life it becomes the normal thing to do.
