If you want to feel it, do it soon while the strings are still stiffer, and so it will be easier. I've got a long vagina and can't feel very high up, so I've never done it!

With my first, I didn't have any pain or discomfort, but my partner, on the maiden flight, said he could feel digging into his cock. I told him not to be stupid... Went for my follow-up and she could see straight away it was half out. Luckily it lodged in a position that didn't cause me any pain or damage, and it came out easily. Only problem was I'd taken shedloads of painkillers and a diazepam to have it fitted, and had to have the replacement done au naturel. MOTHERFUCKER that hurt (a disadvantage of being childless!)

WOW....

I dont have any kids either but my experience was very similar to Yorkshire Lass:

I had extreme pain when it was fitted (and I'm pretty good when it comes to pain) - I had to lay down for 15mins afterwards as I was so faint. Then had to sit in my car another 30mins till I felt I could drive home

I did actually ponder to myself at the time if the pain I was experiencing was similar to child birth, lmaooo!

Hello, I have an issue with my mirena coil. I sometimes can feel it during sex or not even during sex.
Is it normal? Is it the same with you? Or do you think I need a check up as it might not be fit good?

You shouldn't be able to feel it at all, no.

Wish Id known that before! I thought you were supposed to be able to feel it!

Ive just got back home from the GUM clinic. I made an appt for a 2nd coil coz I was convinced it had dislodged/moved as I could no longer feel it anymore and was experiencing sharp abdominal pains. Well it turns out that the coil is still there!

Its been about 6 weeks since Ive had it in so I needed to go again anyways, I just felt a little embarrassed (and I apologised for wasting their time LOL). I was sooo convinced it was no longer there. I even prepared myself more this time round by taking a taxi and taking 2x paracetamol 5 hours prior then another 2x paracetamol + ibuprofen.... Im all drugged up for nowt lmaoooo
