Have you noticed a difference in the type of clients and amount of business you get as you've got older? And how has the experience changed over the years, just asking as I'm really nervous for restarting I was burnt out towards the end of the 4 years and have been out 5 years now. I feel like id be starting brand new again lol!
The clients I find are much better. Back when I was a streetwalker, for example, it really was dehumanising and you were purely a hole to fuck. Very little communication other than how much, although some did talk a bit more. Abuse was rife and every night I was called a whore amongst other things. Violence was also very rife, as were pimps who would get their girls to try and befriend you. There was also a constant risk of getting arrested. I was extremely lucky and vice left me alone but I was also aware that this wouldn't last.
Phonebox numbers and small ads were better and getting treated as a person was more frequent.
The threat of violence is still here. But having developed a good system has filtered out a lot of the crap like the disrespectful ones. Although it's also important not to get too complacent and remembering that some of them have also been doing this for years so know how to get around various things.
Burn out. I leave before this happens now. It's really not worth it in the long run. I have no long-term plan just a weekly one.
Footfall has always varied.
