This picking a time thing is a frustration of mine, but I think I'm just going to tell it from now on. Be very literal.

Me - what sort of time
Them - anything, I'm free all day
Me - 2.30pm then
Them - oh sorry that's too late
Me - this is why I ask you to suggest a time, so you're not actually free all day

Happens all the time!

I always get them to specify the time first if for no other reason than I don't want them knowing my business.

The problem is many just won't, I end up in a roundabout conversation trying to find out the time they want.

I know what you mean! I do wonder about some when I ask what day and time they have in mind whether they begin distancing. Like if I pick up a whiff they were creating the impression of soon but it turns out to be 3-5 days later. In the current climate I'm finding them to be hardcore timewasters. This is odd as before the pandemic I'd have some new clients make an advance booking and then try to bring the day or time forward. This happened quite a lot if they phoned up the day before to confirm tomorrow as on and they couldn't resist seeing me asap so saw me earlier than originally planned.

I hate being asked what availability I have, feels kind of stalker-ish. I refuse to tell them and ask them to suggest a time.

There is a touch of this! It's also nosy. Like digging a bit too deep into your affairs and trying to get a lock on how busy you are to assess your value. Probably lots of male privilege and unconscious biases in there! I go a bit vague when they ask my availability. Ultimately I'll always fall back on "call when you have a firm time in mind".

As for today I had one call. One. I figured he might be a timewaster as he was failing my questions and he had a bit of a tell when he asked if I don't mind seeing black men. No it's not a bother in principle and yes I have had good clients with dark skin and no I don't profile" but I wasn't born yesterday either. He followed on by saying some women have a thing for black men and I'm thinking "Oh no not another one of them..." Yes he had a CE report. I was tired and went back to bed and decided I couldn't be bothered to get up and change so slept through his booked time. Yes, he was a no show.

One sms this late evening as an advance outcall booking enquiry. Seems polite and says the right words. As for whether he was browsing my profile in bed and felt horny and this evaporates, or is not suitable for some reason time will tell.

"To what end? Just because you're a nosey twat?"

Whenever I've asked why they've gone down the line of 'I want to come round now', even when I was outcall only... of course if I communicated outcall only, there'd then follow a series of texts persuading me to sneak them in or make an exception, or meet them outside.
