I do for both personal and work. I rarely use my phone except for work so I'm not fussed about the model and don't spend more than ?10 a month for my personal phone and my work phone can see ?10 last two/three months. I was tired of paying for my contract every month and not really making use of it. It suits me not to have one but I guess it depends how you use it.

I have lots of regular clients that like to send texts where we're on "friends" terms so I definitely need lots of texts, I rarely use my phone to make calls but at least I know it's available whenever I need it and I personally feel that a good smart phone is an essential tool for this job with lots of memory space, blocking facility etc etc etc.

Each to their own though, what works for one of us won't work for another.

Yes I use payg phones for work, due to having a few stalkers early on I didn't want my numbers registered to my home address in any way. I have an iPhone for personal use on a contract but even then I never use it all but end up getting extra charges somehow put on, so I'm planning on ending that too when it expires next month,  I hardly ever have long phone conversations even with family and friends,  I prefer to talk in person or use WhatsApp.


The reason I needed to go to the shop earlier today was because my phone number wasn't showing due to my credits running out (I mostly rely on private gallery sales to pay for that, and needed to top it up with credits, so the consequences of waiting for my 3.30 made me unavailable for any other potential clients, if you see what I mean

I'd definitely agree with that, although whether I'd include an iphone in that is debatable. If you've found a way to block numbers with one then that's some progress at least though, as I'm pretty sure they didn't used to do it.
