Wasn't really sure what to make of it but I had a guy ask me to see his father in November for his 88th birthday, as "a surprise 18 year old would be a special treat". To block emails on gmail you have to be on webmail and find and click the cog in the top right of the inbox, then click settings in the drop down

Select the Filters section

Click 'Create New Filter'

Enter the email address you wish to block in the From field and click 'Create filter with this search'

Tick 'Mark as Read', and 'Delete It'

Then click 'Create Filter' - there is also a tick box that says 'apply filter to matching messages' only tick this if you want to immediately delete all the messages you've already received from that email address.
