Honey trapping
« on: 08 February 2012, 06:16:44 pm »
Firstly apologies if I've posted in the wrong section.

So today I've spent a lot of time reading trashy magazines (I get my kindle tomorrow yay!) and I came across a story about honey trapping. These guys reckon they get ?500 for a 'flirt' ?800 for snog and ?1500 for 'all the way'. I must say I am slightly intrigued and pretty pissed off.
This seems to be a good way to bump the income up, I know I shouldn't believe everything I read but it's worth looking into right? It annoys me that a wife (or husband) can pay someone to sleep with their spouses but prostitution is illegal. Pfft I don't see any difference between the two.
Has anyone done honey trapping or know anything about it?

1, 2, 3... Prostitution is not illegal (in the UK, anyway..)

I thought about doing it years ago! I did a little research, i.e. rang a female private detective (got number from yellow pages I think!) on the pretence that I thought my partner was 'up to no good' with another woman. She told me her rates were ?35 per hour plus 'expenses, which could mean anything!' (this was about 8 years ago btw)
She wasn't going to shag him for that tho', (nor would I have been into the shagging bit if I had decided to give it a go.) The fee was for her to obtain evidence, either by photo's and/or voice recordings etc.
I'm too exciteable for that kinda thing! Would've been 'tailgating' the poor guy from the word go, in case I lost site of him. Not the 'slowly, slowly, catcha monkey way that these guys work! ;D

It is and it isn't. It's a wishy washy law. But basically if money is exchanged for sex it's against the law. It's just hard to prove what happened. And the clients paying for our time what happens in that time is consented between adults. 3... 2... 1... ;)

Yeah from what I can understand of google searches is this woman was a free lance honey trapper. I just thought about doing the actual honey part. You just have to get them to crack whilst photographers stand by etc.
The 'investigating' is too much hard work for me lol. But the prices... Reallllyyyyy??? :/ x

It is and it isn't. It's a wishy washy law. But basically if money is exchanged for sex it's against the law.

Because soliciting (offering sex for money in person in public) and owning / running brothels and agencies is illegal, it is a widespread opinion that prostitution itself is illegal, but it is not and never has been illegal in the UK.

It is true that you cannot enforce a contract based on sex (hence the advice to always, always get the money first - the courts will just laugh if you said 'He promised to pay me for sex, but we had sex and he didn't pay...')

I looked into this several years ago and even contacted a few companies but didn't get very far I must say! I think around the main large cities there is probably more of a demand but in little ole Derby it's not as affluent so I'm in the wrong place for a change! LOL! Did consider setting up a website and offering the service, may still do actually....

I know of a company down South that does honey trapping but the money is nothing like that at all.  There is also no sex allowed. You are paid to flirt, get his phone number, kiss him (not on the lips) and get him on tape to say he wants to take you on a date or will happily follow you to your hotel room.  That is when you leave.  Honey trapping in the Uk is about proving he is willing to sleep with other women not that he has.  They do not hire girls specifically for this but normally it is an attractive girl who already works for the agency.  You get your normal hourly rate which is normally around ?60 an evening and expenses.
This will normally cost a woman hiring them around ?300 with photos and voice recordings
Truth is far more important than what one wants to hear. With truth there is no us and them or colour or religion there is just fact

I thought it was too good to be true. Although ?60 an hour isn't awful. I can't imagine there being a lot of work though.

I would be so scared to do this, i would be so scared of being hired by a wife of a client I'd seen.
