Getting motivated to work
« on: 21 April 2024, 02:22:12 pm »
I'm just wondering how you get yourself constantly motivated to dress up and work if you have no bookings ?
During the day it's  filled with calls from  inquiries and time wasters how to keep going ?
I'm prone to go to sleep and switch off .
I dare not go out incase I completely loose the mood to work !

Having bills to pay is enough to motivate me

Discipline is more important than motivation. Start your day with some sort of excercise. Listen to some YouTube motivation videos. Set up a routine for your working days. Set hours to work, in between calls/ appointments take photos / videos for your aw. Write a blog for your aw ect. And when not working have phone off and switch off work totally.

It’s the money!

However my motivation varies, at times I might not see new clients as they are unknown and thus I find them more stressful.

One or two regulars I enjoy their company, so if my motivation is low I might still say yes to an appointment with them.  Other regulars are easy-money, not very demanding so little stress.

Others I have to be in the mood for, its more of a performance to keep them happy.

I don't dress up and work if I have no bookings? Having said that I don't really dress up if I do have bookings 🤣

I have bills and rent to pay like everybody else, but if I'm tired and really not feeling up to it I can't make myself work no matter what I do; I've left hotels early and gone home, switched my phone off at lunchtime and gone back to bed and all sorts of things. Then I beat myself up about it and feel even worse, so feel even less like working - it's a vicious circle. And it makes no difference how badly I need the money.

Like Sue69 I screen even more heavily if I'm stressed or tired - sticking to punters I've seen before or half hour bookings helps :)

I don't but I do make sure I have showered, shaved legs/bikini line etc, then get on with other things which may include online sex work, making videos, photos, phone chat or just general chores which may or may not include incall/car whatever or at home.

I just treat it like any other job. If I had to go into an office job, I’d have to look presentable do my hair & makeup and look professional. Same thing with escorting, but also depends if you’re the type of person who likes doing your hair, makeup and dressing up. If your pics show that you are natural and casual dress, then no need. I have a schedule and work 1pm - 1am. I get up to gym or run errands then around 12pm I’ll start getting ready. I plan days off I am going to have, so I’m focused on the working days.  You really never know with this job. Sometimes I have to wait till the evening to get my first booking. I’ve had days I’ve waited till 7pm and had 4 jobs back to back. I’m someone who likes to dress up and look glam, I look like that in my pictures so it’s gonna be what the client is expecting. I used to want to go bed early and stop working at like 8pm. I’ve stopped that now, I will stick it out for longer.. sometimes I’ve been up till 3am and had the best bookings where they extend. Depends on what kind of worker you are.

I may be alot OCD but I have find what works for nevus having a weekly and daily target.  I stick the same playlist music on to get ready as it helps me switch personal from me to Miss Betty me.  My underwear i treat as my uniform. I present myself underwear, Hair and nails and make up is all on as perfect as I can.

My location is always warm, clean very comfy and dimly lit.  I set the ambiance.

I can be sat ready for work early answering calls from 8am.  I prefer to book on the day so usually zero bookings at start of day but that soon changes.  I find if I in a shitty mood I answer my phone in front of a mirror whilst smiling..  someone told me once it will make me sound happy.  Probably bollox but I do it lol.

I thankyou for some very much needed tips
I only work part time as I have a full time job too but always used to enjoy the fun and wanted to find new clients as I've moved areas completely.
Guess time wasters always find you wherever you go.
I do make the effort get nice photos done for galleries and have everything ready . I like to get in the mood for work by dressing in something suitable I always find it comfortable and watch some decent movies .
Unfortunately the last couple of days have been so bad with t wasters I switched off very early mentally I was down and won't now be working until my next day off.  I'm going away and really needed some extra cash beforehand. Fingers crossed I could get some genuine clients .

Depends on what kind of worker you are.

Definitely - I value my evenings and pack up at 6pm if I don't have any more (although I'll give a bit of leeway if I've been in a booking that ends at 6 and away from my phone), but then I can start bookings at 7am and even earlier, which other people wouldn't do. I'm not remotely glam in photos or anywhere else so I don't get punters who expect that; clean and in clean clothes is as good as it gets :D

I know I'd get more done if I had a 2 bed so I could leave one room ready for work all the time. It's the dirge of setting up and getting everything personal put away that wears me out and I don't do this or get dressed for bookings until a punter is on his way - I find sitting around waiting for texts with all the work stuff out soul destroying and I can't do it.

I have a rule evening bookings must be made by 4.30pm at the latest, if not I take it as an evening off. I offer bookings at a variety of times including weekends and bank holidays and I have a personal life.

Yeah I definitely couldn’t get up before 7am. Never been an early bird, I love a lay in. I find it easier to stay up and work late. If I know I’m going to have a few days off that I can enjoy, then I make the most of it. Unfortunately though for me that means sacrificing some sleep time. However, if I get a really shit client I do sometimes finish for the day. I get put in a real bad mood and just don’t want to entertain anyone. That’s happened a few times

I'm an early riser to get other things out of the way, plus I offer morning bookings. Some time ago I realised I simply had to have a 9pm (or earlier) finish time. A few regulars were disgruntled at first but once they realised the time I get up, and that my private life/time off is important,  plus effort I go to re appearance, various services and equipment, travelling I do suddenly understood (after all they had expressed concern about my well being/been fairly friendly/encourage the other services and enjoy the kit etc) also understood has to be a firm boundary. Alternative would be to really restrict to 9-5 weekdays only and or remove the complicated bits.
