Does anybody pole/lap dance? Advice needed
« on: 11 September 2010, 04:42:29 pm »
Hi ladies,

I need to learn how to pole/lap dance as a matter of urgency so I'm looking for some practical advice. If any of you lovely ladies are adept and live in the south please let me know. Or if you can point me in the right direction that'd be so helpful. Group classes aren't my thing, I want some intensive learning!

If you're currently a lap dancer please contact me, I need to know the inns and outs (how the money works, typical earnings etc) Cover story is under scrutiny so about time I learned lol

I know there are loads of places offering tuition, but a recommendation would be much appreciated.

Love Pink x

I dont have any practical advice on dancing...but all I know is escorting and dancing are miles apart. Many of the guys who I knew were dancers could not do escorting, and vice versa. So, most of us are probably a bit clueless LOL...but I think there a few who have gone that route

I used to know a few ladies who did a bit of escorting during the day and danced in the evenings but that was years ago  :-\

I don't want to lap or pole dance as my job, I'm far too happy being paid for getting laid  ;D Just need to know how!

Actually, I may shake my thing for my clients but that would be in private. Definately NOT in the middle of a club. the mere thought of doing it in public makes guts churn. I'm a 1-2-1 kinda lady  ;)

Been there. Happy to chat about my experiences, especially if you want to pretend you're working in Brighton.

I occasionally visit male strip bars, and my stomach churn too. I watch, and most of the guys are working their ass off for a few dollars. Im a weird breed too, and personally dont even care to attend a strip bar.

And you talk about timewasters, you have groups of guys just looking and pointing and 1 may come up and tip...The ones I have known are doing dancing on the side, I just cant imagine there would be much money in it to do it exclusively. I had one dancer who I tipped tell me, "I do this just for fun, Im a manager in my real job..." which to me sounded like insecurity.

Again, Im just talking...not necessarily trying to stir you away from it LOL.

Thanks Anika, I've pm'd you.

Joey I think the people working in them must have skin thicker than a Rhino. (Possibly why there's a strip club chain with that as part of their name lol)

Anika is giving the lowdown on Brighton which is very nice of her!  :-* But as knowledge is power, I'd like to be armed  and dangerous baby ;) If anybody can give details for other cities that'd be sooooooooooooo helpful.

And the moral of the story is: Make sure your cover story is watertight to both cover your bottom and to stop you from behaving like a neurotic idiot cramming before an exam

Hi!
I have worked as a dancer before in different countries, but my experience in UK is limited to 3 different clubs in London and only worked there 4 weeks in total.Every club has it's vibe and I just didn't like the london clubs. But if you think I can help you with something send me pm. On the net there must be some great stripping videos(xxx(?)tube etc.) for inspiration for starters.Personally I think you wont need too many fancy moves, slow, sensual and seductive moves work well.Of course spins on the pole needs practice, where classes would become handy.
Yes there are many dancers who are proud to be only dancers and the clubs have their rules, but not every dancer decides to follow those rules and not everyone decides to see these rules not being followed. This in turn means, you would like to know your standards and what is your"competition" offering.
Anyway,I am done with dancing and starting with escorting(I have made some progress since my first post) and actually wish I had done so before already, but I guess everything happens on it's time.

I can talk from experiencing a course last year on pole dancing... well... can I just say... it is not quick and sometimes not pretty... I got bruises like no others I have ever had... and lets just say 6 weeks in (6 hrs in total) Mmmm,,,, was I much better.. Mmmm not bad.... possibly not good enough to get a fiver in my thong thou.... was anyone else any better.. Urrrr nooo.... Sooo in my view it is unlikely to be a a quick fix and expect unsightly brusises for some time too... some lasted 2/3 weeks... unless you have that Rhino skin someone else was talking about.  Can I say it was good fun thou... we had a laugh.... but the pole is something that may take a bit of time... you would prob have to buy one for your home to get some practice in too.... in the long and short.. in 6 weeks I learnt a wee routine and would say that I looked a novice... even thou I got the bronze certificate (Urrr like everyone else)  Oh... and bronzed patchy legs too. ;-)

Strip club pole dancing and class/competition pole dancing is not the same at all. You get girls who are brilliant technically doing all the tricks in clubs, but it's really only the other girls that care. Men just want to see you gyrating and pouting, and you can master that in about half an hour.

yeah, it just almost seems to me doing all those tricks and not getting anything would be a waste of effort. I mean, Im sure they get their cash but Im just talking from my perspective.

I find the male dancers generally like the attention of dancing...but I've sat around and watched them and they all try and draw a line for their territory.
