For me a clock watcher is someone who keeps reminding her client of the time, tells them they have 4 minutes and 26 seconds left which I imagine for the client would be massively off putting (rightly so) but from the way I read some emails and comments from punters is that their definition of a clock watcher is obviously what I just said but also someone who is aware of the time then starts to bring the booking to an end when time is up!
So is a non clock watcher someone who gives free time? Is that what they want/expect?
I leave a big space between bookings to allow for delays at the start...... traffic and what not, time incase we run over a little as I don't like to rush anyone but I am aware of the time and so I can get shower etc. If I don't have another client booked in then obviously I am more relaxed about time providing the client is someone who's been respectful towards me.
I just wonder because clients don't like us being late for them but it seems to be ok for us to be late for our next client since they don't like a clock watcher?
So in short, I am just unsure what they actually mean by clock watching? Being reminded of the time or being out on time? And is a non clock watcher someone who gives free time? Is giving free time fair to avoid being branded a clock watcher?
I've never been called a clock watcher but I often get emails from guys asking if I am and I just don't know what they really mean by it.
I also seen a reverse booking there and the guy says he seeks a non clock watcher so what does he mean exactly?
Hmmmmmmm
