Clock watchers!
« on: 26 March 2014, 03:31:39 pm »
For me a clock watcher is someone who keeps reminding her client of the time, tells them they have 4 minutes and 26 seconds left which I imagine for the client would be massively off putting (rightly so) but from the way I read some emails and comments from punters is that their definition of a clock watcher is obviously what I just said but also someone who is aware of the time then starts to bring the booking to an end when time is up!

So is a non clock watcher someone who gives free time? Is that what they want/expect?

I leave a big space between bookings to allow for delays at the start...... traffic and what not, time incase we run over a little as I don't like to rush anyone but I am aware of the time and so I can get shower etc. If I don't have another client booked in then obviously I am more relaxed about time providing the client is someone who's been respectful towards me.

I just wonder because clients don't like us being late for them but it seems to be ok for us to be late for our next client since they don't like a clock watcher?

So in short, I am just unsure what they actually mean by clock watching? Being reminded of the time or being out on time? And is a non clock watcher someone who gives free time? Is giving free time fair to avoid being branded a clock watcher?

I've never been called a clock watcher but I often get emails from guys asking if I am and I just don't know what they really mean by it.

I also seen a reverse booking there and the guy says he seeks a non clock watcher so what does he mean exactly?

Hmmmmmmm  ???

I think its one of those things every guy will have a different opinion on.

For some it might be as you said someone who says exactly how long you have left or that brings the booking to a close in a certain way, it could even be meant literally as Im sure there will be those who actually keep looking at the clock.

I've often wondered too, I don't have an alarm go off or anything but agree are we expected to give free time!

It might be worth putting this question on a punting forum to see what answers guys give.  Obviously everyone will have a different opinion, but if you get a fair few replies, at least you'll have a general answer.

I'm not on any punting forums, I was on one very briefly even although I didn't break any rules and was very polite otherwise I would ask the question x

I think it varies.  I had one client call me a clock watcher after we had over run by 20 minutes and he still hadn't cum a second time and thought I should just carry on until he did, which I would have probably done if he did not push me away every time he was about to cum.  He actually threatened to go on forums saying I was a clock watcher and to avoid so I said go ahead, do it, as I really don't care as I know I was in the right.

I have had others who think having a watch on or a clock in the room means I must be a clock watcher.  Or those who I bring the booking to an end at the hour and they suddenly want to go again so I am a clock watcher for not letting them do that.

Yet I have others that dive off the bed at the right time and apologise for staying to late as by the time they shower etc it will have run over.  Men are just like us they are fickle.  What one thinks another will disagree with
Truth is far more important than what one wants to hear. With truth there is no us and them or colour or religion there is just fact

I think it means something different to different people.

From what I gather a clock watcher is someone who gives the impression that they are constantly looking at a clock, aware of the time and make the client feel rushed and impersonal service.

I'm not a clock watcher as I don't need to watch a clock to be aware of the time. I've actually had a perspective client ask me if he could have 45 mins for the price of 30 as "you are not a clockwatcher so it is likely I will get this time for free anyway"

I declined his offer of an appointment.

I have a wallclock in my bedroom because its part of artwork. I very rarely glance at it as I find I kind of know now when 30 mins/an hour has passed. I'm sure some clients would look at it and think "clock watcher" but I've always had wall clocks in nearly every room of the house (I find something quite soothing in the ticking noise).

My appointments usually overrun by 10 minutes or so just due to chatting about little things. Maybe its just the clients I predominantly attract but I've always found that they enjoy that aspect of it. I hate being rushed so a one hour booking for me usually takes up 2 hours of my time - quick shower, touch up of make up, changing clothes, the booking itself and then quiet time to myself. I suppose maybe those 10 or so minutes are me giving free time, but as I don't like being objectified myself, I don't want them to feel like I'm rushing them after I've got my fee as if thats all I care about getting. Its not that I think anyone else does it (although I'm sure plenty do), its just how I'd feel if I were in the client's shoes. I try to operate from that perspective. IYSWIM.

HHJJ yeah I know what you mean about the clients jumping off the bed apologising for over staying, I had a client on Monday nite tell me it was 20.05 when I offered him a shower  as if to say I have already over stayed and obviously I told him not to be silly and get in the shower, he has a wife and I used oils on his back etc and anyway it's that respectful type that you don't mind overstaying anyway. The ones with the bad attitudes and that are disrespectful are the ones you want rid of the second their time is up and that's their fault as far as I'm concerned.

RR I am exact same, a 1 hour booking takes me 2 hours at least, if I don't have another client booked in as it takes me over an hour to prepare for the client then the time of the booking itself but if I have another client booked in after him then a 1 hour booking takes me over 3 hours as I need at least an hour to get ready for the next which is why I get such a bee up my bum when I have guys not accepting the fact that I  fully booked so ask if I can squeeze them in  :FF how can I squeeze someone in when it takes over 3 hours of my time in reality lol!

IYSWIM = "If You See What I Mean"

Judging by some reviews I've seen, a non-clock watcher is one who goes overtime. Presumably, reminding a fellow that he's heading towards overtime is "clock watching."

There are certainly more diplomatic ways to word it than "your time is up" but I don't see why it's considered a bad thing to be mindful of the time. I'm fine with chatting an extra few minutes. I am sort of OK with taking a few extra minutes to have the second orgasm - after all, I tend to chat a lot during the session so perhaps I've wasted some of their time. But the fact remains that they have paid for time and the day a guy agrees to not be a wallet-watcher, I won't be a time-watcher. ;)

Clock-watcher = A person that only allows you the time you pay for

Non Clock-watcher = A person that allows you to stay as long as you need

Even Cosmo-restaurants could be accused of clock watching as they only allow 1.75 hours for you to stuff as much of their buffet food down your greedy throat as you can

Why should a client stay for longer than they paid for? People who work and get paid by the hour as we do, expect to be paid for the amount of time they spend working for you, why should we be any different?
