Don't ask me how I found this! It seems I'm in the mood to get right royally pissed off today. ::)

Has this already been seen by others? Does anyone think there's a hopeful chance that it's all just made-up nonsense?

What an utter load of tripe!!!!! I do know people who have taken drugs in all walks of life & society but it is not just linked to prostitutes or classes.

In my opinion she's talking right out of her rear end.

I'm anti drugs, anti smoking & anti owo, cim, I like a drink now & again, I sound boring but I'm not really!!!!!  :o ;D

The idiots who wrote this crap need to see us as victims, so they can crusade to save us, or condemn. Lord spare me this shit.
I know more doctors, lawyers, and airline pilots :o who take drugs, than I know escorts that do.

He's a punter, he prefers street girls and he wants to justify himself. He's not hiding any of that. He also hasn't made any suggestion that he's not pulling numbers out of his arse. He's just a bloke with an obscure blog, nothing to get worked up about.

He's right that cocaine has become very popular (especially with young people), so of course there are escorts who take it. That's not news.

He has a really weird way of writing. Truly gives me the creeps, like a horror film. Guess he sounds a bit emotionless, like a psychopath? Anika's quite right and I shouldn't be giving his obscure blog publicity! I think I just shared for the selfish reasons of not having to keep it all to myself. :-X The rest of his blog talks about crack-, smack- and alcohol-addicted street workers, plus his experiences with their pimps and doing things in the bushes, etc, all in the same spooky tone. Urgh!

As for me, now if this chap accused us of having a major shoe buying habit, it would be closer to the mark. Coke, no thank you mister.

But he has a point. There are a lot of girls in the industry who takes drugs. Cocaine being the most prevelant.
What about that thread on here not too long ago where a lady's client was more suprised that she didn't take drugs?  It goes on all the time.

And to give him his dues, he did say "Cocaine use is so common in our society now, and is becoming more common. It is accepted in some circles, especially among people who can earn large amounts of money. So he's not saying just prossies take, but people in different jobs and the more they make, the higher probability that they take drugs.

He also says, "Trying a drug like cocaine is an easier step to take than trying prostitution, more women have taken it, and more middle-class women."..meaning that he thinks it's actually easier to become a drug addict than to become a prostitute.

Sure it's full of stereotypical comments, but it also tells some truths.

How about:

'The sort of men who pay prostitutes are more likely to take cocaine. The sort of men who associate with prostitutes socially are more likely to take cocaine. This will influence many women who take up prostitution.'

'Any man who pays prostitutes and who thinks that his money will not be spent on drugs is fooling himself. '

Hello! And I dont even need to say it about our lifestyle. If I could count the amount of times I've been around cocaine and other shit with clients, friends, escorts, etc and refused more than once, You would call me a saint. But hey, isnt cocaine 'the rich man's drug?' I thought so...

Gosh, this is what I love about Anika. She is always able to give the benefit of the doubt, even in a situation that sounds ridiculous. I guess thats what being a moderator is all about.

P.S. I'm not being facetious either....

Of course he's generalising, but as I said, there's truth in it. How many times have we had calls at stupid o'clock at night wanting us to come out and how many of us have gone, only to find the guy either high on drugs or drunk.

As for the second comment, again he's generalising but I personally knew of a couple of escorts who took coke, one of them had a young child. So she would rather snort it up her nose than put it away and take care of her child. I can't imagine that's an isolated case.

I don't take any type of drugs at all, I don't smoke and I only drink on occassion. I'm still going through a bottle of rum I bought back from Jamaica last October. And there are plenty of other escorts out there like me. But just because we don't partake of these vices ourselves, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Of course it does. My landlady used to work for an agency years ago. Some of the stuff she used to tell me that some agency girls got up to would make your hair curl.

Has anyone on here read the Babylon book series by Imogen Edwards-Jones? Starting with Hotel, and the latest being about Weddings?  Absolutely hysterical stuff. I bring this up, because if you have read any of them, you know that there is some funny stuff, and some not so funny stuff that goes on in the various professions that she chooses to write about. But when the subject is prostitution, most the time you get the horror stories. I am on several forums, and the ladies on there are mostly moms, with families, lives, pets, ups/downs, husbands/bfs, taxes, bad hair and face days like the rest of society. That doesn't make for interesting blog fodder. He may have some point to his blog, mostly I think he is using it as a form of Netherapy, to work out his own inner issues. Hope he gets there in the end.
End of grouchy rant.
