This is a bit off topic perhaps, but this story being in the news does worry me that if my family had a suspicion of what I do for a living and didn't know where to look, now they know AW exists!

On the story itself, I'm inclined to think she may not get her money, not for a long time at least and without paying more legal costs of her own too perhaps. Also, it's disgusting that the police investigated her for thinking she was a prossie.

As far as I understood the Police did not investigate her just because they thought she was a prossie, it was because she was a mother, the Police and Social Work were only doing their jobs they had to ensure that if she was a prossie that she wasn't working around her children.

Every so often there's an article in a newspaper that mentions Pnet or AW and tends to do nothing more than increase hits on our profiles. Yes it could draw attention but those people would have to also have a suspicion and most, most of the time would just read it and not do anything further.

But surely that would mean any mother could be investigated for no other reason than being a mother? Many mothers work as prostitutes, many others are swingers, should all these people be investigated? Unfortunately this is still how mainline society view those that work or indulge in frivolous sex.

The truth is, because she was thought to be a prostitute as well as being a mother she was investigated, which is really sad in this case as she had gone to the police complaining that somebody was putting up photos of her on a web site to make it look like she was a prostitute. This has to be wrong....

When reporting the matter to the police, we have to assume that she had an idea who was responsible, you generally have an know who has taken explicit photos of you and the police should have been investigating them. If that person was not responsible, then surely they would be the person that supplied others with the photos.

I'm wondering if she'll put in a complaint against the police force dealing, and whether said authorities might learn a lesson. Putting someone through an investigation I am sure creates stress which will then be passed on to the children. They'll also want to know what was going on, ribbed at school all that sort of thing. Not very nice.

She sought damages against AW Systems Ltd for libel, harassment and misuse of private information.

Judgement was made in her favour after the defendant failed to enter an appearance.

It was the last bit that made me think her chances of getting the money aren't great.

Looking on Companies House, it's a company that a) isn't very big in terms of turnover, and b) claims to have ?1 in capital. Interestingly, someone wanted the company struck off the register of companies in 2010.

I would be surprised if the owners of AW didn't dissolve it for being insolvent and start another one to do whatever this one does in the mix of companies they use.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

This is where it gets complex

AW Systems Ltd may not be related to AW SYSTEMS (UK) LIMITED registered with the UK companies house, although it may be owned by the same people, it is not responsible for the court action

The company the lady took to court we assume to be AW Systems International Ltd Suite 254 166 North Front Street Belize City, BZ Tel: 31.208908524

The current registered owner of the domain adultwork.com could be either AWS Affiliate World Systems Int' Ltd in Malta - who apparently took over 2 Mi??ion from their Cyprus account last March before the one time tax was imposed - http://  rt.com/news/cyprus-companies-withdraw-money-218 - or even Ubard Investments Ltd in Hon Kong

And I am assuming that neither of those companies were taken to court, so are not liable for the debt.

To continue trying to take further action will be pointless, time consuming and costly.

I have seen many old profiles stating from 2007 still on AW and the girls who own their profiles haven't even logged in for like 6 years! and they don't get removed! talk about double standards! Aw have so many pathetic silly rules it makes you want to set up a business outside of it! AW is our head office so if anything gets reported they get involved and can quickly deactivate you without giving you a warning! Think she should of at least got ?30k in damages

Yeah that's what I meant Sarah - if the police found out you were a masseuse (the non sexy kind), a barmaid, a doctor etc they wouldn't ask and these are all jobs you can't do in front of your children/bring your kids to work with you.

Its not a police issue as to wether a woman is escorting safely away from her child. Its entirely and SS issue to get to the bottom of x
