To clarify....
Re reading the post, I have no idea what I meant by the first line of my post. And posting in the early hours of a Saturday morning after a night out and maybe one too many glass of wine is not a good thing to be doing, so hope I did not offend too many people...
I am more than happy to see anybody that wants to visit me, as in the above, I described the guy as being Indian. So a comment re "casual racism" can hardly be justified.
As I always work in hotels, it is often the case that I work a hotel with other girls of many nationalities also working there and have no problem with them doing so. They are usually a lot younger and that is not what my clients are looking for.
I was more bemused by the fact that the guy thought it was my fault for wasting his time, when it was him that got all the info wrong. Whilst many other nationalities do speak English, if you were looking to meet with a "non" English person you would probably be sure, from speaking with me, that I wasn't. I had a fairly good idea that he was probably not English.
What is worse, is it also is probably unfair of me to suggest that he was Indian. How could I tell? As such it could be classed as a slur on the Indian nation when he may not have been. A better description may have been Asian?
