Theft Accusation Cardiff
« on: 12 February 2018, 07:38:39 pm »
Had a half hour appointment with this guy today and I mentioned after to my work friend that he was a bit weird.  He quickly got undressed before he gave me the money (which isn't like me) and when he lay on the bed I mentioned he hadn't paid and he said it's on top of his jeans which were on the floor in front of us, so I just picked it up of his jeans in full view of him, I didn't touch the jeans as the money was just laying on top, I then didn't think anything of it.

4 hours later I got a text from him saying 'Thank you for earlier however I can't believe what you did.  I have a cam on my wallet and I never expected that.  All the best.'

I'm presuming he's accusing me of going through his wallet and I did text him back asking if that is what he was doing.  Got no reply, so I messaged again saying I'd be willing to attend the police station with him and we could have his wallet checked for fingerprints etc, still no response.  So I'm really not sure what he's hoping to gain from the stupid text.

His number is 075371827**.  He said he was from Manchester but had lived in Florida for 10 years (no twang) and that he was an Investment Banker, which I thought at the time was a load of baloney!

Thought it just a warning in case he tries it with someone else.

A cam on his wallet? Did you not think that he could have been filming you if this is the case?

I have no idea.  I presumed from his text he was saying he had a cam on his wallet and was suggesting that he had filmed me going in his wallet. (which I didn't of course, so he's bluffing)  Or perhaps he meant he had filmed the meet, I really don't know.  His clothes were on the floor so he couldn't have filmed much

I?m confused, do wallets now have spy cameras? How does it work?

I?m thinking wallets are always closed tucked away in jackets, pockets or bags. Did he put a cam on his wallet just to visit or he already has ppl with sticky fingers in his private life and is now paranoid or is he just trying to get under your skin(make you feel bad so he doesn?t for seeing you)

I guess I don?t believe there was a camera in the wallet to start. I would have responded with something similar to ?I?m sure I didn?t go into your wallet, I have a security camera placed in the corner for my safety if you want the footage for extra proof to provide to the police. I?m guessing you intend reporting the theft? - I do not have cameras in mine but the idea that you may have proof no crime was committed would scare the lier

No I don't believe he had a cam in his wallet either, although after a quick google it is actually something you can buy LOL.  I think he was just playing a silly game after to see if he could upset me or something, who knows with these types!

I did send him a couple texts one stating in the last one that I too have a security cam and I'm sure if we went to the police the matter would soon be cleared up.  I haven't heard a dicky bird from him!

Just another idiot to add to the long list of idiots LOL

Can we stop this now, please? This section is for concrete information and we need to keep the speculation and chitchat for the appropriate boards so that people can find it.
