But Katie, was your booking to take place inside of the Hotel? ( and not a car-meet?-assuming he was old enough to drive anyway..)

If so, you would be strongly advised to make sure he is already booked in ( again-if old enough to own a credit card?   ) and you need to phone him on his Hotel room phone BEFORE you even leave your home to meet him.
If no phone in his Hotel room, you need his full name and booking reference number- so that you can check the booking is at least made ( though this isn't foolproof as they can always cancel ).

A third option is to ask them for a smallish mobile-phone/amazon voucher and inform you of the number to confirm a booking.
This will almost always put off the *car park voyeurs* ( as they can do this for free at any Motel any evening of the week )  

it was booked for in side hotel and he did tell me he was booking in when we meet but yea yea waste of time x
