Thanks Penny - this is completely and utterly vile.

This despicable shower first appeared on this site here, and it doesn't look as if their MO has changed much. I shudder to think what that poor woman is going through, and my thoughts are with her.

Please everyone, read the full post on PN and be vigilant (and if it sounds too good to be true, it is. Especially if it's ringing from a withheld number).

I've had that "gentleman" on my phone before and told him in no uncertain terms what to do with his "offer".

Did we not discuss a very similar scenario on this forum a while back?  This sounds ever so familiar with a few ladies mentioning the same scenario.  Feel so sad for this lady being conned like this.

That's really sad  >:(

Recognised it as soon as I started reading it from the post on here last year and I was contacted by them once too.

Some replies on that Punternet thread suggest that the "greedy" girl deserved it. Christ.

That scam is revolting and all the people involved are either rapists or knowingly assisting the rapists.

Ugh, I think I need to take a day off from the internet and just sit in a cupboard where I can't see anything bad happen!

sometimes you really wonder why you do this job, and why you engage with men on punter forums.  Any one of them could be one of these.

What a horrendous way to learn NEVER ANSWER, OR SEE ANYONE, WHO CALLS FROM A WITHELD NUMBER.   EVER.

I've had guys call from landlines and say "I'm going to call you from a witheld number straight after this one, but don't want my number showing as it's work number blah blah blah."    Still won't do it.    If it doesn't sound right, dont go there, but when you're new, you are unaware of the scams and downright scumbag rapists who will trick you.  I could tell you somes stories.

This poor woman.  Those hateful men.  Words cannot describe this.

Yes I had this call a couple of times last year. No way does an agency supply girls to superstars who will pay thousands and thousands. I told the guy I was happily making enough money anyway and which superstars exactly visit Cumbria (ok 1 or 2 but it's hardly ummm, well I don't know where stars hang out in London so I'll have to leave that one!!!).

The only times I've seen anyone calling from a withheld I was either ripped off, left standing or was a real pain to communicate with especially if they were early or late or another withheld rang at the time they were for directions so mucho hassle for both client and Escort.

Anyway I told the guy if he could ring back from his business line or email me details of his company I would consider his proposal.

There are lots of scams out there for all businesses, only 2 years ago a B&B in the Lakes fell for the overpaid cheque routine. This had been circulating and in the news for some time yet they returned the change from the ?10k cheque/bankers draft only to find it cancelled 7 - 10 days later. Unfortunately we are in the business of selling something more personal which makes us more vulnerable. This also almost makes me think about those guys who want to have dinner or coffee have us join them in the health club at their hotel for free before actually commiting to a booking. Don't know if I'm being paranoid but I would suspect if they did fancy it they would try and 'seduce' us.

One thing to remember in life if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

The difference in our job with the scammers, in particular the woman in the subject of this thread is that they don't always just want your money.  They want your body and soul and dignity, which is what they took from that woman.

And guys who ask to meet for a "chat" (a preview and some free company) - Just Say No.  They know better than to ask that.  I sometimes, if in the  mood and get on with the client, go for a meal afterwards, but never ever before I have the money and provided the service.  If you met for a chat with every client, you'd never have any work;.

Some replies on that Punternet thread

Thanks for that warning: I've avoided reading the comments.

Argh.

It may be worth reminding people that it became rape at the point at which she withdrew her consent to oral sex and he carried on anyway. Non-consensual fellatio became rape with the Sexual Offences Act 2003, which is also explicit that consent is a continuing process. Saying yes at the start does not mean that someone can disregard you saying no later on.

It did not become rape because they did not pay her, even though she did not do any of this without expecting to be paid. (It does mean that another crime they've committed is obtaining services by deception, however.)

My guess is what she was told about the CPS is what the police said about them, rather than being told directly. Even so, some of the reasons rape has not been prosecuted because of a belief that the rapist is not likely to have been convicted have been appalling. Memory is telling me Ian Huntley got away with one rape because he was seen dancing with her earlier, for example.

It would be interesting to know just where the hotel was and which police force she reported this to. Heathrow is right on the border between the Metropolitan and Thames Valley forces. A couple of years ago, one of them was much better than the other at treating this sort of thing seriously.

It almost makes me hope that the next escort they try this with turns up with some very nasty friends.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Ive heard from a Surrey based lady today that she too has been contacted by this outfit.  She didnt fall for their scam and Ive asked her to come to this thread and comment, which I hope she does.

So if you know of anyone new, who is starting out, please , please do warn them about this very dangerous scam.

Thanks.

Hugs

Unfortunately I received a phone call this morning from this abomination of a human being. They initially contacted me about 2 weeks ago, and then again today (I forgot to post earlier sorry) they are sill active and using the same MO. I told him I was aware of the scam, in which he quickly hung up, and then straight after I got another call from a blocked number asking for an appointment for today. It was definitely the same guy (he was putting on a rubbish fake accent) I asked him to call back from an unblocked number- which he didn't. This confirmed my suspicions.

Please be wary girlies- they are very convincing.
