Hello everyone, this is a hello and a first post in one, sorry it's in this way but to be honest we don't look for support sites until something goes wrong, but now I have found it I will be back for a proper look later.

I was royally scammed last night, I stayed with a client in Skegness he sounded to good to be true and was, I should have listened to the little voices inside me  :'(
He rings and texts you offering far to much money and so I was on alert but thought it was ok after we met up and he gave me the money for an overnight.
I spent the evening looked in my bag the envelope was still there this morning but when I went down to breakfast he had run out jumped in his car and gone.
So I checked my bag the envelope was there but he had switched it at some point and it was an empty one.
The guy said he was a lawyer came acroos as very nice ordunary bloke, calls himself Mr Ward, he didn't become agressive but it has upset me very much, if he calls any of you beware & I would be very grateful of a tip off of his whereabouts if anyone knows anything  he uses the no. 0*7841016"9

I don't know what else to do I am very very upset, if I go to the police they will do nothing and it will cause me real problems not him bastard ???

Do you know that your local Police aren't good with sex workers? Unless you're sure it would do no good at all, I'd go to them. They might not be able to pursue your case, but it would be good to get on record at least so you can support a charge against him if there's one in future.

Maybe you could approach the hotel and tell them you stayed there with a man you met in a pub. It wouldnt be the first time in the history of the world thats happened! Say you had some money stolen. They may have his car registration or be able to get it from thier CCTV, then you CID friend can find his details easily.
Im very sorry the theft happened to you and thankyou for posting the warning. I hope it saves others from feeling as sh*tty as you must be feeling. Trust nobody.

CID are not supposed to run checks on anyone unless it's following up a line of enquiry - some dodgy ones will and use it for personal reasons though.

If you are an independent it doesn't matter to the police what job you do, why should it?

I didnt know they are not supposed to. But when I was much younger an ex of mine was a copper. He passed saw a car on my driveway and checked to see whos it was thinking it was another bloke. He admitted it when he slipped up by saying he liked my sisters new car.  ::)

They aren't allowed to use it for personal reasons - as you can imagine it could be abused. And yes an ex of mine said his CID friend did run searches for him on potential girlfriends as well as their families. Hardly fair since that's private info.

Would you like it if a neighbour ran searches on your car, then on the owner which would then bring up any sort of involvement with the police?

Good Morning,

Oh My God I went cold when I read this.

I was contacted a while back by a 'Mr Ward' who wanted me to spend a few days with him. After many phone calls back and forth I agreed to meet.

I travelled quite a long way - by train at my expense to meet this man. Obviously my fee reflected. He met me at the train station and I got some of the money up front - to cover my arse until he had money 'Transferred from his ISA into his everyday account'. This was on a Sunday so I could understand that he wasn't able to withdraw the relevant ammount for my entire stay.

We stayed in this Tacky B+B in the middle of a field (literally) and the alarm bells started ringing loud and clear in my mind. We did what us ladies do best  ;) and then went to the adjoining bar/restaurant to finish the evening. He drank a fair bit, I stuck to orange juice as I knew I had to have my wits about me with this guy.

The next day, at my insistance we went to the nearest big town so that he could withdraw the rest of the cash and so I could deposit it in my account. Guess what? There was a problem and the money was going to take until Wednesday to get into his account. I wasn't a happy bunny at all, telling him that money is required up front and I didn't accept his crap story about transfers etc...

He took me back to the B+B, I had my laptop with me and searched for trains to get me back home that night. He refused to drive me to the nearest town, instead taking me to a tiny train station in the middle of nowhere. Whilst waiting for the train I had a massive argument with him. He told me he was disgusted that I never even offered to buy him a drink in the bar the night before, at which point I told him that it wasn't a date! I was there on a job, and that doesn't include buying drinks for clients!
He went all quiet then, while I continued to wipe the floor with the big, ugly, fat piece of sh*t. He even has sweaty hands - cold and clammy. Yes you know the type I'm talking about.....lol

It ended up taking me hours to get home, and I was really down about it. I know I should have reported it to somebody but I didn't want to draw any attention to myself, so just decided to take it on th chin and to never be so stupid again.

This is a warning to us all. As well as dangerous people, there are those who think they're entitled to rip us off. He targets ladies who he thinks are new to the business.

This man is really really Fat, short and is blad. Is it the same one who duped you? I'm going to dig out some records that I (hope I) kept and will put the details on here if I find them.  He claims to be a Solicitor or Barrister so you're not in doubt that he has money.

Just to lighten up this post a bit, I have to tell you what happened while we were in the bedroom.
I was, erm, getting busy and the next thing he leaned over and this huge belly slapped me on the side of my head and I had to fight my way out of it! The guys stomach was so big that it nearly suffocated me! You know the advert - Belly's gonna get ya? Well ladies and Gents, Belly got me!!!

I have to say that I don't have any problem with age, size, race or anything else like that but in this instance I do have a problem. I was ripped off and if that wasn't enough, nearly killed by a gut.

So beware of this man. Calls himself Edward, Mr Ward among other things. If anybody does know where he is, I'd definately like to turn up on his doorstep and make a scene. What a wanker.

Love Alex xxx

I've had a guy periodically call, ask for a 2 day booking at a hotel in Yorkshire. Says he's a solicitor in family affairs. I usually say I won't commit to an overnight with someone I haven't met at least once and he's to phone back with the hotel booking reference. Hasn't got back to me on 3 occasions yet.

Has an 'Oxbridge' accent and sounds like the same guy.

I have  ;D. My friend (also based in Scarborough) has just rung me and asked about a booking request she had which sounded odd - exacly the same name and MO (Mr Ward, few days in a hotel - this one in Lincoln). I remembered this thread and doublechecked and it is definitely him; she was suspicious and asked about having some money upfront as he gave her exactly the same cobblers about transferring money out of his ISA and it taking a few days - when she questioned him about it and pointed out that she would have to be upfront when she arrived, he got uppity and sent some arsy texts, so we think he might well be in the process of trying it on somebody else.

The number he is currently using is 07719 3019** - PM me for the rest. I also know where he has a hotel booking this weekend if anybody's interested (my friend rang them and checked and it is a genuine booking, for now at least).

This site is a bloody Godsend sometimes  :).

I also rang the place where he was staying and checked he was there etc...I spoke to him on the B+B phone and it all seemed fine....But as you've heard it was anything but! I would love to run into him - cheeky big stinking idiot. I felt really degraded afterwards, and no other people should have to go through this.
I'll pm you for details x x x
