Potential attempted robbery, Sheffield
« on: 25 June 2019, 06:48:33 am »
Unfortunately I don't have a phone number or AW account name for any of these guys.

I have been touring Sheffield since Thursday afternoon. I have toured here dozens of times before and never had any problems.

Yesterday (Monday 24th) I have only seen 2 clients - one for a quickie, one a half hour. Both seemed absolutely fine, no warning signs at all. One was at 12 midday and the other at 1pm.

At 2.20pm approx, reception called my room and said someone was at the desk asking for my room. I told them it was my abusive (imaginary) ex and to please tell him nobody of my name was staying at the hotel and he should leave.

At approx 2.30pm I was on the phone to my son and someone knocked on my door. I expected it to be housekeeping (although I had asked them to take me off the list) and shouted "I don't need a clean thanks" through the door.

A male voice answered me, I couldn't make out what was said (damn my reluctance to take a hearing test.) I looked through the spyhole and there were three young males in view, one fronting up to the spyhole and the other two lurking behind him. Poss more out of sight?

The man fronting up was probably late 20s/early 30s, white, brown curly hair and a fairly big beard. I have definitely not seen him before so he must have got my room number off someone else.

I couldn't see the other two clearly but pretty sure they were white, young and clean shaven.

He and his sicarios tried knocking several times on my door but I had the deadlock on and was frantically packing my stuff by that time for a quick exit. I shouted "Fuck off, I've called hotel security" a few times and eventually after calling reception and giving them the unstable ex story they sent someone up and cleared the fuckers out the corridor. If I'd been thinking straight I'd have watched over the car park and seen what vehicle they left in but frankly I was in a mad panic by then.

I was supposed to be in Sheffield til tomorrow afternoon but fuck that. This is horrible. This is my home town FFS. I've never felt unsafe until this and I still can't work out how they could find my room number when most of the guys I've seen this tour have seemed so "ok". But it's either a guy I've seen this tour, or a member of hotel staff, who has passed on my room number.

I won't be working in Sheffield again. Not worth the risk.

If I can find any more info I'll update this post.
