Posting and searching for warnings
« on: 13 July 2008, 01:28:43 pm »
When you post a warning, please don't include a full address or telephone number. This could get us in trouble and we'll have to edit out the details.

When posting a phone number, please use this format: post the full number with no spaces or special characters between any of the digits, and replace the last two digits with asterisks. So, if your bad client's number is 01234567891, post it as 012345678**. Not 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 * *, 01234 5678**, or 01*3456789*.

There's nothing special about that format, but if everyone uses it it will make it easier to search the warnings and so we'll all be safer.

If you want to see if a phone number is in the warnings, you can use the search box at the top right of every page. Just format the number in the same way as you would to post. Since not all numbers in the warnings follow this format yet, you might also want to try entering it in different ways.

Remember you can also pm each other in private for full details.
