Possible "escort" on here is a pycho Irish man!
« on: 02 April 2011, 12:24:01 pm »
I placed a Buddy ad on here last week, and had few replies, and gave my personal number to a couple of escorts and last couple of days I have had nuisance phone calls and a threatening voice message of a witheld number, he speaks with an Irish accent.

This "escort" in question has posted quite afew posts on here and I note other escorts have doubted waether this perosn is infact an escort.

Please don't speculate on the identities of other posters on the board. If you have concerns about someone you can contact the mods.

I'm leaving this here though, because I wouldn't recommend that anyone give out their personal number in a work-related context unless you know the person pretty well (even if you know that they are who they say they are; there are plenty of genuine escorts etc. who are quite odd). I had some quite strange calls when I did this, so I'm much more careful now.

Anika's right, you shouldn't speculate publicly without more palpable basis. Just because you received the unpleasant calls from the man and this happened to be around the time you exchanged pm messages with an user here doesn't mean there should be a connection between them.

From my experience, it's rather unlikely. It happened to me, after some pm's here I started to receive paranoid messages from one of the correspondents claiming that I was a man and I was harassing her with witheld calls.

On the other hand I can understand why the tendency to make assumptions and see hidden connections everywhere: it's a stressful environment with a lot of uncertainty in it and keeping sane isn't easy.
